CUMBERLAND- Therese (Reilly) Simmons, 75, passed away on January 15, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, Robert L. Simmons.
Terry was born in Woonsocket, the daughter of the late John A. and Florence (Creighton) Reilly. She was a graduate of St. Clare High School and Regis College. She began her teaching career as a volunteer in the Lay Apostolate in Hobbs, New Mexico. She taught for several years in the Bellingham, Massachusetts and Woonsocket school systems.
Lise Anne Giorgi
BURRILLVILLE- Lise Anne Giorgi 56, resident of Oakland died peacefully at a home on January 14, 2013.
She was the loving wife to Michael Giorgi.
Lise was born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Charles & Yvette (Fournier) Tessier.
She was a loving homemaker who enjoyed talking care of her husband, children, and her grandchildren, she was a resident of Burrillville most of her life.
Edward A. Falardeau
NORTH SMITHFIELD- Edward A. Falardeau, 96, of North Smithfield, formerly of Third Ave. Woonsocket, died Tuesday evening at St. Antoine Residence. He was the husband of the late Rhea M. (Doire) Falardeau.
Born in Holyoke, MA., he was a son of the late Albert and Catherine (Minners) Falardeau. He was a resident of Woonsocket for most of his life.
Mr. Falardeau served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the European Theatre. He received the Rhineland-Ardennes- Central Europe Campaign Ribbon, Good Conduct and Victory Medal.
WOONSOCKET- Laurette D. Marchand 92, of Poplar St. died Tuesday at the Philip Hulitar Center. She was the wife of the late Adelard F. Marchand.
Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Leda (Carle) St. Sauveur. Mrs. Marchand worked as a weaver for most of her life in several area textile mills.
Jeannine D. Orazi
WOONSOCKET- Jeannine D. (Fournier) Orazi, 77 of Morin St., died unexpectedly, on Tuesday January 15, 2013, in Landmark Medical Center. She was the beloved wife of Gino Orazi.
Born in Manville, daughter of the late Ernest and Jeannette (Pelletier) Orazi.
She worked as a Seamstress, for McCarthy's for several years prior to retiring.
She was a member of St. Agatha's Senior Citizens and Local 328 Retirement Club.
She was an avid Bingo player and enjoyed an occasional trip to the Casino's.
Normand A. Bibeault
WOONSOCKET- Normand A. Bibeault, 90, of St. Joseph St., died January 15, 2013 at Trinity Health & Rehabilitation Center. He was the husband of the late Anne (Plasse) Bibeault and later the husband of the late Cecile (St. Germain) Bibeault.
Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Herve and Anita (Gingras) Bibeault.
Edgar O. St. Pierre
JOHNSTON- Edgar O. St. Pierre, resident of Johnston died January 14, 2013 at the Home & Hospice Care of RI in Providence.
He was born November 9, 1923 in Woonsocket RI, a son of the late Ovide & Rosalba (Gallant) St. Pierre.
Edgar was a career Navy veteran serving 35 years; he was in WWII where he served in the Pacific on a LST. He was a resident of Johnston previously he lived in Mapleville. He was a member of the LST association.
Florence T. Ballou
WOONSOCKET- Florence T. Ballou 91, resident of Woonsocket died January 9, 2013 at the Ballou Home for the Aged.
She was born July 17, 1921 in Blackstone MA, a daughter of the late Walter F. & Eva (Charette) Ballou.
Florence worked for the former Branch River Worsted for twenty six years retiring in 1971. She was the former treasurer of St. Germain Manor Club. She was a member of the St. Louis Senior Citizens Club, and also served on the Woonsocket Tenants Board of Affairs for four years.
Paul A. Lanctot
WOONSOCKET- Paul A. Lanctot, 62, of Woonsocket, passed away at Landmark Medical Center on January 13, 2012.
Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Raymond and Claire (Paulhus) Lanctot.
Paul was a kitchen worker and general laborer for the Arc of Northern RI. He was a member of the Special Olympics, a long time Boy Scout and an avid bowler on his Sunday league. His favorite past time was dining out.
CUMBERLAND- Joseph Marcel Rosaire "Ross" Lamontagne, 79, died on December 25, 2012 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband for 61 years of Margaret Madeline (Bouchard) Lamontagne who has been his sweetheart since Junior High School.
He was the son of the late John and Angelina (Charbonneau) Lamontagne.
