Cheryl F. Arsenault
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO- Cheryl F. (Hawes) Arsenault 54, formerly of Woonsocket, died June 10, 2013 in Colorado Springs, CO, where she resided for the past twenty years.
She was born in Worcester, MA a daughter of the late Martin and Claire (Robillard) Hawes.
Cheryl worked as a waitress and hostess in several restaurants in Colorado Springs. She was a 1976 graduate of Woonsocket High School.
Michael A. Roy
WOONSOCKET- Michael A. Roy, 59, of Woonsocket died peacefully Tuesday morning at Landmark Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the loving husband of Norma (Coutu) Roy. They were married on November 26, 1992.
Born in Woonsocket he was a son of the late Henry R. Roy, Sr. and Lucille (Riendeau) Roy. He was a lifelong resident the city.
Mike was employed at Bird Machine Inc. in South Walpole and was the proprietor of R &G Auto Sales in Uxbridge for many years.
Doris M. Martin
WOONSOCKET- Doris M. (Riquier) Martin, 91, of Monroe St., died Sunday November 3, 2013 in Landmark Medical Center, after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Leo J. Martin.
Born in Woonsocket, daughter of the late William and Mary (Hogue) Riquier.
Doris worked for 50 years at Florence Dye prior to retiring at the age of 62.
Carole A. Durand
NORTH SMITHFIELD- Durand Carole A. 76, resident of North Smithfield, passed away November 2, 2013 at the Landmark Medical Center.
She was born in Portland ME, a daughter of the late Leon & Freda (Grant) Strout.
She worked for the former CD Burnes Co., for many years. Just prior to her retirement, she was employed at Homefront in Woonsocket as a home aid where she assisted the elderly.
Harriet S. Cameron
BELLINGHAM- Harriet S. (Smith) Cameron, 96, of Blackstone St., Bellingham, MA died November 3, 2013 in Genesis Healthcare, Milford, MA. She was the wife of the late Edward J. Cameron, Sr.
Born in No. Smithfield, she was the daughter of the late Ralph H. Smith, Sr. and Grace B. (Brown) Smith.
Mrs. Cameron was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time on her porch reading her books and watching the birds. She loved to watch the Red Sox and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She cherished her family and will be remembered as a loving and caring mother and grandmother.
Lillian M. Cournoyer
BURRILLVILLE- Lillian M. (Choquette) Cournoyer, 86, died Friday, Nov. 1, 2013 in the Overlook Nursing Home, Pascoag. She was the wife of the late Alfred Cournoyer.
Born in Harrisville, she was the daughter of the late Alderic and Bernadette (Vezina) Choquette.
She was a resident of Burrillville, No. Smithfield and Florida.
Lillian worked for the former AT Cross of Lincoln and the former A&P and Big D Supermarkets. She especially enjoyed traveling, shopping and entertaining family and friends.
Roland H. Nichols
SOUTH DAYTONA FL- Roland H. Nichols 89, formerly of Woonsocket, died Wednesday, October 23 at The Indigo Manor in Daytona, FL. He was the husband of the late Jeanne (Leclerc) Nichols.
He was born in Woonsocket, a son of the late Henry and Marie (Duguay) Nichols.
Mr. Nichols was a WWII U.S. Army Air Corp veteran with the 464th Fighter Squadron, and served in the Asiatic Pacific Theater Campaign. Later he would work for General Motors for thirty one years, retiring in 1983. He was a life time member of the Woonsocket Lodge of Elks and Cercle Laurier, Inc.
Denise J. Vachon
WOONSOCKET- Denise J. Vachon, 66, of South Main St., died October 31, 2013 in Rhode Island Hospital, Providence.
Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Lillian (Brodeur) Vachon.
Robert A. Miclette
WOONSOCKET- Robert A. Miclette, 81, of Woonsocket died Thursday October 17th at Oakland Grove. He was the husband of the late Blanche A. (Lataille) Miclette.
Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Arthur and Agnes (Lafrenais) Miclette. He was a lifelong resident of the city.
Mr. Miclette was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving during the Korean War.
Bob was employed in the local textile industry at several area firms. He later worked for Valley Transport as a driver for several years before retiring.
Candide S. Belisle
WOONSOCKET- Candide "Candy" S. Belisle, 98, formerly of Wyndemere Woods, died Thursday at The Holiday in Lincoln.
Born in Canada, she was a daughter of the late Alberic and Amanda (Tardif) Belisle.
Candy was a dental assistant and office assistant for Drs. Picard for over thirty years.
She is survived by two sisters, Simone Pointon of Fredericksburg, VA, and Therese Gauvin of Woonsocket, and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Rhea, Albanie, Robert, Euclid, Camille, Richard, and Lionel Belisle, Laury Berard, and Flore Laferriere.
