BELLOWS FALLS, VT- John Carl Archambault died peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013 after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
He was an avid fly fisherman who started his own company making and distributing fishing flies. A display of his fishing flies can be seen at the Orvis museum in Manchester, VT. John had opened a satellite office for his fly fishing business in Poland before moving to Bellows Falls, VT.
He is survived by his daughter Emily, his parents Carl and Louise, his three sisters, Carla, Joanne and Lisa and a brother Eric.
Charles E. Stand
WHITINSVILLE, MA- Charles E. "Eddie" Stand, 98, of Whitinsville died Fri. Oct. 11, 2013 in the Beaumont Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Ctr., Northbridge.
He was the husband of Florence C. (Clark) Stand who died Jan. 11, 1997.
Mr. Stand was a truck driver for Hemmingway Transportation for 40 years, retiring in 1976.
Mr. Stand was born December 14, 1914 in Providence, RI the son of the late Charles and Julia (Chiaki) Stand.
Peter J. Carrara
GLOCESTER- Peter J. Carrara, 79, of Glocester, RI died peacefully at R.I. Hospital October 7, 2013 with his son and daughter-in-law by his side.
Peter was the loving husband of the late Dianne R. (Rania) Carrara. He was the son of the later Peter J. Carrara, Sr. and Sue (Ursillo) Carrara of Providence.
Peter is survived by his son, David F. Carrara, David's wife, June (Caron) Carrara and his grandchildren, Jason M. Carrara, Nicole L. Carrara and her husband Matthew Dube.
Walter G. Scott Jr.
WOONSOCKET- Walter G. Scott Jr. 74, of Knollwood Dr., died Tuesday at RI Hospital. He was the husband of Helena (Dulude) Scott.
Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Walter G. and Ann Margaret (Griffen) Scott Sr.
Walter was a program analyst for Tupperware Corporation for over twenty years and twelve years for Polar Corporation before retiring in 2001. He was a member of the Italian Working Men's Club. Walter enjoyed golfing and trips to Fox Woods. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be sadly missed.
Debra H. Canard
FRANKLIN- Debra H. (Taylor) Canard, 59, of Franklin, MA passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2013 at Milford Regional Medical Center.
She was the loving mother of Michael D. Canard of Upton, MA, and Shawna M. Ray and her husband, Charles of Franklin, MA, and her cherished grandchildren, Aprill Canard, CJ, Crystal, and Michelle Ray.
James S. Blow
FRANKLIN- James S. "Jimmy" Blow, 92, of Ruggles St. died peacefully at his home surrounded by loved ones on Mon. Oct. 7 after an illness.
He is survived by many family and friends of the "Ruggles Street Gang" and will be sadly missed.
Born in Marathon, FL on April 22, 1921 he was the son of Augusta S. and Agnes (McCann) Blow and grew up working on the farms throughout Wrentham, MA.
He most recently worked as a stock person at Second Impressions store in Wrentham before retiring.
BELLINGHAM- Lorraine Leong Allam, 53, of Bellingham, MA, passed away on Friday, October 4, 2013 at UMASS Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, MA, with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife for twelve years of John Allam, and the loving mother of Jay Allam.
Lawrence F. Coleman
BURRILLVILLE- Lawrence F. "Larry" Coleman, 65, died unexpectedly at home Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013. He was born in Providence to the late Frederick and Ann (Simmons) Coleman.
Larry spent his younger years in Bristol and graduated from Cranston East High School. He served honorably in the US Navy during the Vietnam era. He graduated from RI College with a bachelors degree in Social Work and later earned other advanced degrees. He worked for Pascoag Auto Parts for many years.
MAPLEVILLE- Debra "Deb" Schaier, 54, died September 19, 2013 at Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket.
Born in Arizona, Deb was the daughter of Barbara Dunkin of Seaside, Oregon. Deb was the loving wife to Fred Schaier for 34 wonderful years.
Deb worked at Honeywell in Woonsocket for 27 years as a test technician.
Robert D. Caron
WOONSOCKET- Robert D. Caron 93, of Lambert Ave. died Saturday at home. He was the husband of Estelle (Gauvin) Caron. Mr. and Mrs. Caron would have celebrated their 67th Wedding Anniversary on October 12, 2013.
Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Philias and Fabiola (Drapeau) Caron.
