Marjorie M. Robbins
WOONSOCKET - Marjorie M. (Harford) Robbins, 82, of Friendly Home Rhodes Ave. and previously of Marlboro, MA, died July 11, 2013 in Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late James W. Robbins. Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late Harold R. and Ruth (Sheffield) McKenna.
PITTSFORD, NY- Robert Kirrane Murph, 74 died peacefully at his home in Pittsford, NY on July 4, 2013 after a brief illness. He was the loving husband of Edith D. Murphy.
Bob was born in Woonsocket, RI, the youngest son of Martha (Kirby) and Raymond F. Murphy.
He was a graduate of Mount Saint Charles Academy where he was a star hockey player and "Mountie of the Year".
Shannon C. Heil
BURRILLVILLE- Shannon C. Heil, 18, of Victory Highway, Oakland died Thursday, July 11, 2013 from injuries in an automobile accident in Burrillville.
Born in Woonsocket, Shannon was the beloved daughter of Patricia (Dufresne) Heil of Oakland and Brian W. Heil of Harrisville. She had lived in Woonsocket for most of her life before moving to Oakland 1 years ago.
Shannon was a 2012 graduate of Woonsocket Vocational Technical High School, where she was a cheerleader, and had just graduated from Toni and Guy Hairdressing Academy, Cranston.
Carmen R. Gagne
PASCOAG- Carmen R. (Tessier) Gagne, 72, of Pascoag, died Sunday, July 14, 2013 in Oakland Grove Health Care Center, Woonsocket. She was the wife of Normand A. Gagne, whom she married June 18, 1960.
Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Tessier and Dolores (Frappier) Tessier Patrie.
Carmen operated her own daycare and was a waitress at several area restaurants, including The Embassy. She enjoyed playing cards with her sisters and trips to Twin River Casino.
NORTH SMITHFIELD- Shirley (Nelson) Martin, 86, of No. Smithfield, died July 9, 2013 in Hebert Nursing Home, Smithfield. She was the wife of the late Edward A. Martin. Born in North Smithfield, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Minnie (Follett) Nelson.
Shirley was a supervisor for Amprex for 25 years. She was a member of the Smithfield Quaker Meeting House of Friends in North Smithfield.
Lucie H. Potvin
WOONSOCKET- Lucie H. Potvin, 93, formerly of Privilege St., Woonsocket died Saturday at Landmark Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Theodore Potvin.
Born in St. Bartholomy, P.Q., Canada, she was a daughter of the late Adelard and Victoria (Farley) Malboeuf. She came to the United States in 1923 and remained a lifelong resident of the city.
Bertha J. Julevich
WOONSOCKET- Bertha J. (Olech) Julevich, 99, died Thursday, July 11, 2013, at the Home Hospice of Rhode Island in Providence after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Albert E. Julevich.
Born in Manville, RI, she was educated in Slatersville, RI. She was a resident of Woonsocket, RI for many years, previously living in Stoughton for over 35 years.
Mrs. Julevich worked as an inspector for Analog Devices for several years, retiring over 40 years ago. In her free time, she enjoyed reading newspapers, painting and crossword puzzles.
Lorraine L. Benoit
WOONSOCKET- Lorraine L. (Lebeau) Benoit, 82, of Fairmount St., died July 11, 2013 in Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. She was the wife of the late A. Wilfred Benoit.
Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Magloire and Laura (Durocher) Lebeau.
Mrs. Benoit worked as a Account Manager for the Visiting Nurses of Greater Woonsocket for thirty years, retiring in 1995. She also worked for Archway Cookie and the Rubber Shop.
NORTH SMITHFIELD - Perron, Therese (Poisson) 80, of Eddie Dowling Highway, died Thursday, July 11, at home. She was the beloved wife of Richard Perron.
Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Laura (Lachapelle) and Henri Poisson, Jr., she was raised in the Manville section of Lincoln, and lived there for many years, before moving to Central Falls, and then North Smithfield in 1973.
Mrs. Perron was employed for many years by Mine Safety Appliances before retiring. She loved knitting and needlecraft, and cooking. She was a communicant of Saint James Church, Manville.
Claire I. Souders
WOONSOCKET- Claire I. Souders 82, of Carnation St., died Thursday at RI Hospital. She was the wife of Charles H. Souders.
Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Eva (Baril) Bourassa.
Claire was a stitcher for the former Uni-Royal Co. for twenty years, until they closed. She then went back to school and became a LPN and worked at Fatima Hospital for several years. She enjoyed cooking, reading, traveling and gardening.
