Annie M. Ouellette
MANVILLE- Annie M. Ouellette, 91, of Manville, died Sunday June 16, 2013 at Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island in Providence. She was the wife of the late Laurent N. Ouellette.
Born in Manville she was a daughter of the late Domenico and Bridget (Durante) Pandolfi. She was a lifelong resident of Manville and lived in the house she was born in for her entire life.
Mrs. Ouellette worked in the local mills in her early years was a dedicated homemaker as she raised her family.
BURRILLVILLE- Genevieve V. (Swiech) Bonczek, 94, died Friday June 21, 2013 at Overlook Nursing Home, Pascoag. Wife of the late Sigmund M. Bonczek.
Born in Woonsocket she was the daughter of the late Walter and Veronica (Bienia) Swiech.
Eleanor Marie Leduc
GREENVILLE- Eleanor Marie (O'Donnell) Leduc, 89, of Greenville, died Friday, June 21, 2013 in Cortland Place, Greenville. She was the wife of the late Leo A. Leduc Sr..
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Haigh) O'Donnell.
Raymond L. Deziel
NORTH SMITHFIELD- Raymond L. Deziel, 84, died Friday, June 21, 2013. He was the beloved husband of R. Marie (Masucci) Deziel to whom he was married 59 years.
Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Leo and Minnie (Kmiotek) Deziel.
He was a graduate of Woonsocket High School and Providence College. Following high school he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served with the occupational forces in Japan after World War II. He loved his God and his family, living his life with those values.
JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA- JONES Michelle Elizabeth Jones, 59, passed away Monday, May 20, 2013 in Jacksonville, Florida.
Michelle was a native and longtime resident of Woonsocket, Rhode Island where she was also a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. She moved to Jacksonville, FL with her husband 10 years ago.
She was preceded in death by a son, Adam Luc Jones. Survivors include her husband, Jesse L. Jones; one daughter, Candy Portman; one son, David Jones, Sr.; one brother, Donnie Cardin; four grandchildren; other loving family and dear friends.
Robert A. Marshall
BURRILLVILLE - Marshall, Robert A., 58, died Wednesday at home surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Judith (Sinnott) Marshall.
Born in Pawtucket, a son of Ruth (Hanna) Marshall of Putnam, Ct. and the late Daniel Marshall, Sr. Bob was a lifelong Burrillville resident.
He was the owner of RA Marshall Piping Company in Burrillville for over 20 years. He enjoyed hunting and camping.
Irene S. Mathisen
CUMBERLAND- Irene S. Mathisen, 86, of Fisher Road, passed away Wednesday at Elmhurst Extended Care, Providence. She was the wife and childhood friend of John Mathisen whom she married 40 years later, and remained happily married for 40 more years.
Born in Union City, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Gustav and Anna (Dowling) Schoenleber. She resided in Cumberland for over 50 years, previously residing in Wayne, NJ.
Mrs. Mathisen was employed as a Real Estate Agent for Coleman Realty for many years and was a member of the RI Realtors Association.
MANVILLE- Anna (Dypry) Recorvits, 99, a resident of the Holiday Retirement Home passed away peacefully on Wednesday at the home with her family by her side. She was the loving wife of the late Michael Recorvits.
Born Dec. 17, 1913 in Valley Falls, RI, she was the daughter of the late Paul & Josephine (Lass) Dypry.
Jeannette V. Ethier
BURRILLVILLE- Jeannette V. Ethier, resident of Pascoag, formerly of Harrisville, died June 17, 2013, at the Overlook Nursing Home.
She was the wife of the late Joseph Ethier.
She was born in Harrisville, RI, daughter of the late Ernest & Clara (Tatro) Boucher.
Jeannette worked in area textiles many years retiring from the former Desmon Mill Co. in Woonsocket in 1982. She was a member of the Burrillville Senior Citizens, the Ashton Court Club, the Northwest Choralers, and the Glocester Womens Bowling League.
COLFAX. CA- Viola Slowick was born Valeria Narkiewicz in Pawtucket in 1915.
She grew up in the area, and worked in Quonset during World War II as a Rosie the Riveter defense worker.
After the war, she married John A. Slowick in 1946, and they lived in Woonsocket until John died in 1999. John ran the Slowick Brothers Garage in Social for many years.
