UXBRIDGE, MA- Michael Skory, 90, of Uxbridge died Thurs. March 7, 2013 at home with his family by his side. He was the husband of the late Lillian M. (Boivin) Skory who died in 2008.
Mr. Skory had been a toolmaker for the former Sweet Manufacturing in Attleboro for 25 years before retiring in 1988. He had previously been employed for Armburst Chain Co. and National Chain in RI
Mr. Skory was born Jan. 17, 1923 in Blackstone, son of the late Martyn and Anastasia (Zariny) Skory and had been a resident of Uxbridge since 1947.
Margaret A. Guy
Margaret "Peggy" A. (Bedard) Guy, 72, of Shady Lane, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2013, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Raymond Guy whom she married November 11, 1963.
Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Alfred J. and Margaret M. (McCaughey) Bedard.
Normand D. Lefebvre
WOONSOCKET- Normand D. Lefebvre 68, of 547 Clinton St died Monday March 4th at Landmark Medical Center. He was the husband of Evelyn (Tessier) Lefebvre.
Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Jean Marc and Rose (Morel) Lefebvre.
Normand was a roofer for the Matco Roofing Co. for over thirty years, he then worked in security for many area security companies including Wells Fargo before retiring eight years ago. He was an avid golfer, a loyal Baltimore Orioles and San Francisco 49ers fan and loved his little pumpkin, Hannah.
Stephen N. Fleurant
NORTH SMITHFIELD- Fleurant Stephen N., 36 of North Smithfield passed away surrounded by his family Wednesday, March 6th at the Philip Hulitar Center, Providence after a long illness.
Born in Woonsocket he was the son of Denis and Linda (Brissette) Fleurant of Smithfield. Stephen loved the outdoors, especially fishing, he also enjoyed being with all his friends. He worked in the tree cutting business before acquiring his CDL license.
LINCOLN- Eva Varin 92, resident of Lincoln formerly of Mohegan passed away March 6, 2013 at the Holiday Retirement Home in Manville.
She was the loving husband of 70 years to Alpherie Varin.
She was born Feb. 20, 1921 in Canada, a daughter of the late Felix & Mary-Louise (Benoit) Dufault.
Eva was a resident of the Mohegan section of Burrillville for 70 years, she was a loving home maker who took care of her family when they were sick. She was a communicant of St. Theresa's Church in Nasonville.
Timothy A. Lannon
WOONSOCKET- Timothy A. Lannon, 45, of Brier St. died, Saturday March 2, 2013. He was the husband of Julie A. (Ritchie) Lannon.
Born in Woonsocket son of the late Thomas Lannon and Lillian (Smith) Lannon- Messier.
He worked as a Painter for Crystal Painting, for 20 years.
Dennis R. Gervais
BURRILLVILLE- Dennis R. "Moon" Gervais, 60, of Pascoag, died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013 at Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket.
Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Edgar Gervais and Virginia Moison.
Dennis was a truck driver for many years and was currently employed at Atlas Pallet Inc. of Nasonville.
Raymond V. Roux
MAPLEVILLE- Raymond V. Roux, 71, of Mapleville, formerly of Crawford St. Woonsocket, died Wednesday morning at home surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of Bernadette (Lessard) Roux. Ray and Bernadette celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on November 2, 2012.
Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Herni and Yvonne (Blouin) Roux.
He was a resident of the city for most of his life until moving to Mapleville two years ago.
Mr. Roux was a veteran of the United States Army.
ATTLEBORO- Joan Irza, 95, a loving mother, grandmother and sister, passed peacefully on Monday, March 4, 2013 at the Life Care Center in Attleboro after a three week stay at the facility. She was the beloved wife of the late Jacob Bohdan Irza who passed on July 1, 1968.
Carlton J. Cabral
NORTH SMITHFIELD- Carlton J. "Carl" Cabral 66, of Homestead Ave. died Sunday at MA General Hospital of a sudden heart attack. He was the husband of Johanne (Everett) Cabral.
Born in Fall River, MA he was a son of the late Dorothy (Silva) Alexander and step son of Edmund Alexander.
Carl was a self- employed electronics technician and the owner and operator of Video I Service Center for twenty five years. He also worked at the Clothesline Laundromat in Woonsocket. Carl was a member of the Thursday night bowling league in Woonsocket and an avid fisherman.
