MILLIS, MA- Maureen E. Delaporta Of Millis, died Monday evening, April 15, 2013, at Medway Country Manor Nursing Home surrounded by her family, She was 82.
The daughter of the late William and Rose (Robillard) Durkin, she was born in North Smithfield, RI and raised and educated in Woonsocket. She has been a Millis resident for over 55 years.
A homemake her life centered around her family.
The wife of the late Richard Delaporta, she was predeceased by her sisters, Hope Johnston, Sheila Durkin, Kay LeClerc and Judy Plante.
Frances M. Donnelly
WOONSOCKET- Frances M. (Niro) Donnelly, 90, of Rhodes Ave formerly of Chateau Claire, died Friday April 12, 2013, in the Friendly Home, with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late James C. Donnelly.
Born in Milford, Mass, daughter of the late Francis and Rose (Tomassini) Niro.
She worked in production for the US Rubber Co. for 25 years.
Cecile L. Gilbert
WOONSOCKET- Cecile L. (Riquier) Gilbert, 90, formerly of Sharkey Ave, died Friday, April 12, in the Trinity Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Aldor Gilbert.
She was born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Alphonse and Aldora (Morin) Riquier.
She was a devoted homemaker, a member of the Red Hat Ladies, and enjoyed spending time with friends and family at the beach.
Ella A. Demers
BLACKSTONE- Ella A. (Johnson) Demers, 83, of King St., died Sunday April 14, in Milford Regional Hospital, with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Gerald M. Demers.
Born in Woonsocket, daughter of the late John and Hilda (Johnson) Johnson.
Ella was Owner & Operator of Ella's Variety on Rathbun St. in Blackstone, MA., and also she worked as a line technician supervisor for Foxboro Co., until retiring in 1984.
She was an avid sewer, knitter and crocheter. She loved spending quality time with her family.
Marion G. Williams
CUMBERLAND- Marion G. Williams, 88, of 1 Flat St. passed away Sunday in the Friendly Home, Woonsocket. She was the wife of the late Donald R. Williams.
Born in Rockland, ME she was the daughter of the late George F. and Mary (Van Horn) Clark, she resided in Cumberland for the past 15 years previously having lived in Brighton, MA.
She was a "Lunch Mother" for 25 years with the City of Boston, School Lunch Program.
Marcel "Mike" Rivard
CUMBERLAND- Marcel J. "Mike" Rivard, 83, died Saturday in Landmark Medical Center with his family by his side. He was the husband of Alice M. (Durand) Rivard.
Born in Quebec, Canada, son of the late Alphonse and Albina (Plante) Rivard.
He was a Foreman machinist for the Industrial Machine Corp, in Georgiaville, until he retired in l982.
Mr. Rivard, served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
He was a former member of the American Legion Fairmount Post 15, and also of the Veteran of Foreign War, and a member of the Chemawa Country Club.
Sylvia D. Moreau
CUMBERLAND- Sylvia D. Moreau 92, formerly of Mendon Rd. died Saturday at Landmark Medical Center.
She was born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Frederick and Delima (Tetreault) Moreau.
Sylvia was an office clerk for the former Ann & Hope Department Store in Cumberland for twenty years before retiring in 1981.
She is survived by several nephews and nieces. She was the sister of the late Lillian Theroux.
Rita I. Laflin
WOONSOCKET- Rita I. (Gagnon) Laflin, 87, a lifelong city resident, died April 11, 2013 in Landmark Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Charles M. Laflin, Jr and the daughter of the late Viateur and Rose (Savoie) Gagnon.
Evangelina D. Lindo
HARRISVILLE- Evangelina D. (Miranda) Lindo, 77, of Iron Mine Rd. died Thursday April 11, 2013, in Landmark Medical Center, with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Francisco Lindo.
Born in the Azores, Portugal, daughter of the late Manual and Marie (DeAmeida) Miranda.
She was a Homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her loving family and friends.
An avid gardener, loved to crochet and knit, and cook, so everyone would enjoy.
Gerald R. Langlois
BURRILLVILLE- Gerald R. Langlois, 74, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 in Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. He was the husband of Estelle M. (Gravel) Langlois, whom he married on July 28, 1984. They resided on East Ave. in Harrisville.
Born in Mapleville, he was the son of the late Albert J. and Beatrice (Blanchard) Langlois.
Gerald worked as an Assembler for GM Motors in Framingham, MA for over twenty five years before retiring. He was a former member of the Oakland Mapleville Fire Department.
