WOONSOCKET- Ida (Suffoletto) Laplume, 90, of Laflamme Ave., died peacefully Monday, December 30, 2013, in the Phillip Hulitar Inpatient Center with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Paul E. Laplume.
Born in Woonsocket, daughter of the late Giuseppe and Margueritta (Cicolella) Suffoletto.
Ida was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family. She was an avid Red Sox and Patriot and Bruins fan.
Cora E. Demers
WOONSOCKET- Cora E. Demers, 97 formerly of East School St. died Monday December 30, 2013 at Mt St. Rita's Health Centre. She was the wife of the late Raymond Demers.
Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Adolphe and Marie (Roch) Ouellette. Cora was a stitcher for the former Jacob Finkelstein & Sons for twelve years. She was a member of, St. Joseph Sr. Citizens, St. Louis Sr. Citizens, Golden Ages Club, St. John Vianney Sr. Citizens, Royal Travelers, and the St. Germain Manor Club.
Robert S. Frueh
WARWICK- Robert S. "Bob" Frueh, 66, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Gail (Ricci) Frueh with whom he had celebrated 34 years of marriage.
Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Otto R. and Mary Ann (Ference) Frueh.
He lived in Woonsocket before moving to Warwick where he resided for the last 32 years.
Dora F. Ducharme
BURRILLVILLE- Ducharme, Dora F., 91, of Harrisville, RI, passed away on December 27, 2013 at the Bayberry Commons Nursing Home in Pascoag, RI.
She was the loving wife of sixty one years to Edward Ducharme.
She was born March 24, 1922 in Pittsfield, NH, a daughter of the late Arthur & Sophia Vien.
Dora was a nurse's aide for several area nursing homes. She was a resident of Burrillville since 1951, previously living in New Hampshire.
Jean Paul Lariviere
NORTH SMITHFIELD- Jean Paul Lariviere 87, of 36 Bellevue Ave. died Monday December 30, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. J. Paul Lariviere owner of Paul's Family Restaurant passed away peacefully after a brief illness.
Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Frederick and Valida (Vincent) Lariviere.
CUMBERLAND- Dorothy M. (Vose) Bascombe, 92, of Old West Wrentham Road died Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket.
She was the wife of the late Willard E. Bascombe.
A lifelong resident of Cumberland, she was a daughter of the late Ornando F. and Madeline (Slocum) Vose.
She was employed by Tanury Brothers Jewelry Manufacturers of Lincoln for many years before retiring in 1965.
WOONSOCKET- Arthur J. Mongeon, Jr., 71, of Main Street, Woonsocket, died Sunday, December 22, 2013 at his home.
Born in Grafton, Massachusetts, he was a son of the late Arthur J. Mongeon, Sr. and Blanche L. (LeBeau) Mongeon.
Arthur was employed by Plansee Tszit of Franklin, MA for 10 years before his retirement. He loved dancing, Autumnfest and going to Twin River.
WOONSOCKET- Terrence G. Benvenuti, 78, passed away on December 21, 2013 with his loving daughter Tracy by his side.
He was an avid hunter and fishermen. He worked for the City of Woonsocket highway Division as a foreman for 20 years. He was a lifetime member of Italian Workingmen's Club.
Jonathan P. Lebrun
NORTH SMITHFIELD- Jonathan P. Lebrun 31, of Eddie Dowling Hwy, died December 23, 2013 at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston.
Born in Woonsocket, he was the loving son of Roger Lebrun of Charlestown, and Patricia Carrigan of North Smithfield, and the step- son of Dianne (Rochefort) Lebrun.
Jonathan was the beloved brother of Jason Lebrun of Springfield, MA, Ryan Contee of Charlestown, RI, Jennifer Hervieux of Burlington, NC, and Madison Lebrun of UT. He was also the brother of the late Jeffrey Lebrun.
WOONSOCKET- Paulette "Bunny" L. (Benjamin) Allen-Duarte, 71, of Greene St., died December 24, 2013 at home. She was the wife of John F. Duarte.
Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Laura (Henault) Benjamin.
Paulette worked as a lab technician for A.T. Cross, Lincoln. She enjoyed the beach, music and singing and was a member of several bands in her younger years.
