Raymond J. Rabideau
WOONSOCKET - Raymond J. "Rab" Rabideau, 95, of Woonsocket, died Sunday, August 31, 2014 in the Holiday Retirement Home, Manville. He was the husband of the late Doris I. (Lemieux) Rabideau, whom he married September 1, 1941. Born in Pascoag, RI, he was the son of the late Joseph and Ada (Dickey) Rabideau.
Raymond was an oil delivery driver for Lozeau's Oil Co., Martel Oil Co. and Consumers Oil Co., Woonsocket, before his retirement. He was a WWII veteran, serving in the Army with the 194th Field Artillery Battalion.
Jodie L. Elias
WOONSOCKET - Jodie L. (Bovier) Elias, 54, of East School Street, died Thursday August 26, 2014 in Landmark Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Ronald Elias.
Born in Woonsocket, daughter of the late Donald and Lillian (Cotez) Bovier.
Jodie was a Homemaker. She enjoy spending time with family and friends and her grandchildren.
She is survived by her two sons, Jason Elias of Woonsocket, RI, and Nathan Elias and Jena Correia, of Lincoln, RI. Five grandchildren, Tyler, Nathan, Shane, Kayden, and Dylan.
Theodora M. Katz
SMITHFIELD - Katz, Theodora M. (Grant), 91 formerly of Smithfield and Providence died Wednesday at St Antoine's. She was the wife of the late Nathan Katz.
Born in Woonsocket a daughter of the late Walter A. and Bertha (Legare) Grant she lived in Providence moving to Smithfield 15 years ago.
She worked as a secretary to Congressman John Fogarty from 1952 to 1958 and later for the US Foreign Service, working on economic assistance for third world countries for 18 years retiring in 1975. During that time she worked in Thailand, Morocco, Nepal, Cambodia and Senegal
H. Valdor Lambert
WOONSOCKET - H. Valdor Lambert, 92, of Woonsocket, RI, passed away in his sleep on the morning of August 28th, 2014, with his family at his side. He was the beloved husband of the late Pauline F. (Bourget) Lambert for 40 years, and the late Loretta (St. Jean, O'Day) Lambert for 19 years.
Born in Woonsocket on April 13, 1922, "Val" was the son of the late Theodore and Albertine (Lacourse) Lambert.
LINWOOD - Raymond Dion, 87, passed away on Sat. Aug. 30 at Beaumont Nursing and Rehab Ctr. after a period of declining health. He is survived by many nieces and nephews as well as many great nieces and nephews. He was brother of the late Arthur Dion, Albert Dion, Romeo Dion, Armand Dion, Roland Dion, and Cora LeDrew. Born in Linwood on Jan. 3, 1927 he was the son of Harmas and Bertha (Gazaille) Dion and lived in Linwood 55 years before moving to St. Petersburg FL., where he resided until moving back to MA in 2007.
WINTER GARDEN, FL - Joan (Caron) Ostojich, of Winter Garden, Florida died on Friday, August 22, 2014 at her home after a long battle with cancer. Born on June 25, 1940 in Woonsocket she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Blanch Caron. She was a 1958 graduate of Bellingham High School.
She leaves her husband Gerald Ostojich of Winter Garden, Fl., a sister Jacqueline Robillard of North Smithfield, one niece Christine Bonas of North Smithfield, and a nephew Michael Boucher of Mt. Pleasant, SC.
A memorial service will be at the convenience of the family.
Doris M. Depot
CUMBERLAND - Doris M. Depot (Smith), 89, of 1 Flat St., passed away Wednesday at the home of her daughter, Donna M. Gingras in Sutton, MA. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward J. Depot Jr.
Born in Waterbury, CT she was the daughter of the late John and Josephine (Gobeille) Smith. She resided in Cumberland for most of her life having left for Florida in 1964 and returning to Cumberland in 1994.
She was employed by the Health-Tex Corp., Pawtucket for many years until her retirement in 1987. Mrs. Depot was a communicant of St. James Church, Manville.
WOONSOCKET - Lucille Monfette 86, formerly of Pond St., died Wednesday at The Holiday Retirement Home. She was the wife of the late Albert Monfette. Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Elizabeth (Rondeau) Lafontaine. Lucille was a seamstress for Woonsocket Dress for many years. She was a member of the Royal Travelers, St. Joseph Sr. Citizens, and the Parkview Social Club.
