WOONSOCKET- Salvi, Katherine "Kathy Cakes" R., 24, of Woonsocket passed away January 5, 2014 at Rhode Island Hospital.
Born in Milford, MA, she was the daughter of Ronald and Mary Louise Salvi.
Kathy LOVED her beautiful hair, getting her nails done, shopping and scrapbooking. She also enjoyed helping her dad at local flea markets. However, more than any of those things, nothing superseded her love for her son Davian. Her generous nature always allowed her to help anyone in need. The word NO was not in her vocabulary.

MANVILLE- Catherine R. (Berry) Laplante, 90, of 30 Sayles Hill Rd.,formerly , Waterview Apts. in Woonsocket, died, Sunday January 5, 2014 in the Holiday Retirement Nursing Home, with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Oliver V. Laplante.
Mrs. Laplante was born in Providence, and moved to Woonsocket, in 1968. She was the daughter of the late Edward J. and Imelda M. (Hennessey) Berry.
Mrs. Laplante worked as a mender for the Rochambeau Worsted, in Manville and also for Weight Watchers, until retiring in 1989.

CUMBERLAND- Romeo J. Gagne, 76, of Quail St., died Tuesday January 7, 2014 in Landmark Medical Center, with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Muriel A.( Blanchard) Gagne.
Born in Woonsocket, son of the late Romeo and Irene (Deragon) Gagne.
Romeo was a Truck Driver for St. Germain Trucking, Danis Truck, and Miller Electric Carol Cable for 35 years, prior to retiring.
He was a Lifetime member of Circle Laurier and Minded Hearts Chapter 338 of Woonsocket.
He loved vacationing in Maine, with his family.

WOONSOCKET- Antoinette Y. (Lawrence) Bacon, Antoinette Y. (Lawrence) Bacon, 96, of Mendon Rd., died January 6, 2014 in the Ballou Home, Woonsocket. She was the wife of the late former Woonsocket City Councilor Wilfred E. Bacon.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Edmond and Antoinette (Lamothe) Lawrence.
Mrs. Bacon was educated and raised as a young child in the former St. Francis Orphanage, Woonsocket.
