Gerard J. Thibodeau
ALFRED, ME - Gerard J. Thibodeau, 73, of Alfred, died November 11 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Biddeford on June 27, 1941, the son of Julien N. and Rose (Camire) Thibodeau. He attended Biddeford parochial schools and was a graduate of St. Louis High School.
Simonne T. Valati
WOONSOCKET - Simonne Theresa (Turcotte) Valati, age 95, passed away peacefully on November 6 at the Ballou Home. She was the wife of the late Attilio Valati to whom she was married for 47 years, until his death in 1993. Throughout their marriage, they lived in Blackstone where they operated Henry's Auto Parts, Inc.
Born in Joliette, P.Q. Canada, August 29, 1919, Simonne was the daughter of the late Regina (Laporte) Turcotte Beaubien and Alfred Turcotte. Her family immigrated to Woonsocket when she was a young child.
Eugene A. Arsenault
WOONSOCKET - Eugene A. Arsenault, 88, of Mendon Road, died November 3, 2014 in Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. He was the husband of the late Florence "Flo" (Blondin) Arsenault. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Piere and Edwina (Sylvestre) Arsenault, Jr.
Eugene S. LaFrance
WOONSOCKET - Eugene "Butch" LaFrance, 68, of Tache St. died Saturday November 8, 2014 in the Phillip Hulitar Inpatient Center, with his family by his side.
He was the beloved husband of Sandra (Olivastro) LaFrance.
Born in Woonsocket, son of the late Eugene and Rita (Anderson) LaFrance.
Butch worked for the City of Woonsocket Highway Department for 15 years. He also was a self employed contractor.
He was well known for his many skills and his ability to do various types of work for everyone that called upon him. No job was impossible, he got it done.

NORTH SMITHFIELD - Emma A. (Boisseau) Vermette, 87, of North Smithfield, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 9, 2014 at Saint Antoine Residence.
Alexander E. Maranda
WOONSOCKET - Alexander E. Maranda 91, of Avenue C, died November 6, 2014 at the University of Maryland Baltimore - Washington Medical Center. Mr. Maranda was on a weekend tour of Washington for WWII Veterans, sponsored by the RI Retired Fire Chiefs Association. He was the husband of the late Theresa L. (Godin) Maranda. Born in Woonsocket, May 15, 1923 he was a son of the late Ernest and Imelda (Thibault) Maranda.

There will be a mass for the repose of the soul of Ronnie, at St Agatha's Church, 34 Joffre Ave., Woonsocket, RI, Saturday, November 15th at 5:00 pm.

Bruno J. Baril
WOONSOCKET - Bruno J. Baril, 88, formerly of Miles Avenue Woonsocket, died Wednesday at Scalabrini Villa in North Kingstown. He was the loving husband of the late Rolande M. (Delorme) Baril. They were married for 51 years at the time of her passing in 1998.
Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Azarias and Cordelia (Bergeron) Baril. He was raised in St. Charles de Mandeville, P.Q. Canada. Mr. Baril returned to Woonsocket in 1943 and remained a lifelong resident of the city.
Alice N. Cook

Island passed on November 5, 2014. She was the wife of the late Kenneth R. Cook, whom she married October 20, 1956. Born in Woonsocket Rhode Island. She was the daughter of the late Galliano Cesaroni and Teresa (Rondina) Cesaroni.
Cecile M. Lauzon
LINCOLN - Cecile M. (Robidoux) Lauzon, 90, formerly of School Street, Albion died Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at the Holiday Retirement Home, Manville. She was the wife of the late Maurice H. Lauzon.
A lifelong resident of Albion, she was a daughter of the late Napoleon and Clara (Lusignan) Robidoux.
Mrs. Lauzon was a stitcher at American Tourister before retiring.
She was a communicant of St. Ambrose Church, Albion. She was a Past President of the Golden Agers of Manville and Albion and volunteered for many years for Meals-on-Wheels.
