WOONSOCKET - Yvette Dufault, 73, of Greene Street, died Tuesday November 11, 2014, in the Friendly Home with her family by her side.
Born in Woonsocket, daughter of the late Wilfred and Clara (Rousseau) Dufault.
Yvette enjoyed listening to music and watching television.
She is survived by three sisters, Jeannette Lavallee, Georgette Lebron, and Pauline Cotnoir, and her husband Paul, all of Woonsocket, RI. And several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her five siblings, Conrad, Alfred, Eugene, Wilfred, and Rita Almeida.
NASHUA, NH - Sylvio Rossi, 85, of Nashua, N.H., passed away following a long illness on November 10, 2014. He was born in Woonsocket, R.I., on March 8, 1929, the son of Thomas and Cleonice(Pettine) Rossi.
He is survived by his beloved wife,
Constance (Pepin) Rossi with whom he was married for almost 60 years, and his two children Dr. Thomas Rossi of Marblehead, MA, and Roberta Rossi Valentine of The Woodlands, TX, and his three grandchildren, Quinn Valentine, Mia Rossi and Silvio Rossi. He had three loved sisters, Lydia Rossi (predeceased), Rita Rossi and Ella(Rossi)Pedro.
Lori P. DeVaudreuil
SLATERSVILLE - Lori P. DeVaudreuil 36, of Ridge Rd, died Tuesday in Roger Williams Medical Center. She was born in Woonsocket, a daughter of Armand and Susan (Patrice) DeVaudreuil, and was a lifelong Slatersville resident. She was a personal and professional advocate of people with intellectual disabilities for many years. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her many nieces and nephews. Her quick wit will be sorely missed by all those who knew her.
Dennis R. Cote
WOONSOCKET - Dennis R. Cote, 41 of Woonsocket passed away on Monday. Nov. 10th. Born, August 9, 1973 in Woonsocket he was the son of Rita (Lafleur) Cote of Woonsocket and the late Neil Cote.
Besides his mother, he is survived by 3 brothers and a sister, Neil, Alfred, Kenneth & Michelle Cote all of Woonsocket. Also several nieces & nephews.
Richard L. Desrochers
BRISTOL - Richard L. Desrochers, 66, of Metacom Ave. died Thursday, November 6, 2014 in the RI Veterans Hospital in Providence, after a long illness.
Born in Woonsocket, son of the late Paul O. and Reina (Brazeau) Desrochers.
Richard was a United States Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam War.
He worked, as an auto body repair man for Interstate Towing. He was a former member of the American Legion Fairmount Post 85.
Gerald G. Demers
BLACKSTONE - Gerald G. Demers, 57, of King St. died Tuesday November 11, 2014 at home after a long illness.
Born in Woonsocket, son of the late Gerald M. and Ella (Johnson) Demers.
Gerry worked as a forklift operator for the Ardagh Group for 26 years. He was very dedicated to his job.
He was an avid fisherman. He also enjoyed painting and playing the drums, and his trips to Foxwoods.
Gerard J. Thibodeau
ALFRED, ME - Gerard J. Thibodeau, 73, of Alfred, died November 11 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Biddeford on June 27, 1941, the son of Julien N. and Rose (Camire) Thibodeau. He attended Biddeford parochial schools and was a graduate of St. Louis High School.
Simonne T. Valati
WOONSOCKET - Simonne Theresa (Turcotte) Valati, age 95, passed away peacefully on November 6 at the Ballou Home. She was the wife of the late Attilio Valati to whom she was married for 47 years, until his death in 1993. Throughout their marriage, they lived in Blackstone where they operated Henry's Auto Parts, Inc.
Born in Joliette, P.Q. Canada, August 29, 1919, Simonne was the daughter of the late Regina (Laporte) Turcotte Beaubien and Alfred Turcotte. Her family immigrated to Woonsocket when she was a young child.
Eugene A. Arsenault
WOONSOCKET - Eugene A. Arsenault, 88, of Mendon Road, died November 3, 2014 in Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. He was the husband of the late Florence "Flo" (Blondin) Arsenault. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Piere and Edwina (Sylvestre) Arsenault, Jr.
Eugene S. LaFrance
WOONSOCKET - Eugene "Butch" LaFrance, 68, of Tache St. died Saturday November 8, 2014 in the Phillip Hulitar Inpatient Center, with his family by his side.
He was the beloved husband of Sandra (Olivastro) LaFrance.
Born in Woonsocket, son of the late Eugene and Rita (Anderson) LaFrance.
Butch worked for the City of Woonsocket Highway Department for 15 years. He also was a self employed contractor.
He was well known for his many skills and his ability to do various types of work for everyone that called upon him. No job was impossible, he got it done.
