WOONSOCKET - Simone Mandeville 65 of Woonsocket passed Tuesday, 9/2/14 at Landmark Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of Mabel (Walters) Mandeville currently and the late Lionel Mandeville. She worked in textiles for many years before recently retiring.
She is survived by her son William Palmer and his wife Julie of Mendon Ma., she is also survived by her daughter Monica Palmer also of Woonsocket. She was the beloved grandmother of Savannah and Madison Palmer and John, Gabby and Brooke Palmer.
Geoffrey J. Langelier
HARRISVILLE - Geoffrey J. Langelier, 46, of Harrisville, Rhode Island passed away Thursday, September 4, 2014. He was the husband of Lynn (Lefort) Langelier, whom he married November 4, 1995 and the devoted father to his seven-year old daughter Lauren Suzanne Langelier. Born in Providence, RI, he was the son of Geoffrey J. and Kathleen (Clynes) Langelier.
Jeffrey P. Cooper
NARRAGANSETT - Cooper, Jeffrey P., of Narragansett, RI and formerly of North Attleboro, MA died of a brief illness while surrounded by his loving family. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Stanley S. and Shirley (Vaslet) Cooper. He leaves his loving wife Claire (Nault) Cooper, his daughters Rachael Routhier of North Attleboro, and Kimberly Marin of East Providence, his granddaughters Morgan Taylor, Rylee Marin, Lily and Emma Routhier, his sister Marsha Crecelius of Florida, and a nephew Cris Crecelius of Providence.
Charles F. St. Sauveur, Jr.
JAMESTOWN, RI - Charles F. St. Sauveur, Jr., 87, of Kenneth City, FL and Jamestown, RI passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2014. He was the husband of the late Vera O. (Beckwith) St. Sauveur.
Born in Woonsocket, RI he was the son of the late Charles F. and Frances (Eastman) St. Sauveur.
A US Marine Corps Veteran he served in WWII on the beach at Iwo Jima, where he was wounded and received the Purple Heart for his actions.
Ray E. Converse
WOONSOCKET- Ray E. Converse, 80 died in DeKalb IL on August 30, 2014
Born January 22, 1934 in Elizabeth NJ to Roy E. and Margret L. (Kosloff) Converse. He graduated from New Trier High School in 1952 and graduated from University of IL at Urbana-Champaign with a degree in economics. Ray served in the US Navy from 1956-1958.
Ray was a long time resident of Woonsocket, RI before relocating to DeKalb, IL. He worked for the Miami Daily News as a journalist, Moody's investor service as a bond rater and Boeing as an accountant. Ray was a proud member of Mensa.
Gail Rose Deguire
WRENTHAM - Gail Rose Deguire, 58, of Wrentham MA, passed away peacefully at the Wrentham State Developmental Center. She was born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Roland and Lucille (Lemay) Deguire.
She is survived by two sisters; Rita Fagyas of Woonsocket, and Cheri Mello of Blackstone. She was also the brother of the late Jesse Deguire.
Marcel L. Arel, Sr.
BLACKSTONE, MA - Marcel L. Arel, Sr., 84, of Blackstone, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 5, 2014 at The Friendly Home with family by his side. He was the beloved husband of the late Lillian R. (Arcand) Arel. Born in Woonsocket, RI on November 7, 1929, he was the son of the late Donatien and Lydia (Paul) Arel. He was the loving father of Nancy L. Rinfrette and her husband, Lawrence of Woonsocket, RI and Patricia M. MacRae and her husband, Earl of Blackstone, MA. He leaves his cherished 9 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Charles D. Lagor
NORTH SMITHFIELD - Charles D. Lagor, 87, of North Smithfield, RI, passed away on September 4, 2014.
Charles was married to his loving wife Lois (Jacques) Lagor for 64 years.
Born in Pawtucket, RI, he was the son of the late William and Philemena (Pyne) Lagor.
Ray A Rivera
WOONSOCKET - Ray A. Rivera 47, of Coe St died Monday at Landmark Medical Center. He was the loving husband of Andrea (Mauricio) Rivera. Born in Hoboken, NJ, he was a son of Reynaldo Rivera and the late Lucia Ortiz Gonzalez. Ray was a truck driver for Ryder Integrated Logistics. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Woonsocket. Ray was a wonderful father, brother, and a great friend. He always went above and beyond to lend a hand regardless of the circumstances and loved to share God's word to any who were willing to listen.
H. Raymond Champagne
WOONSOCKET - H. Raymond Champagne 93, of Greene St. died September 2, 2014 at the Woonsocket Health and Rehabilitation Center, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Violet (Dubois) Champagne with whom he has been married for sixty nine years. Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Hormidas and Alphonsine (Masse) Champagne. Ray was a sales engineer for International Supply Co. for thirty eight years, before retiring in 1983.
