WOONSOCKET- Henry G. "Pete" Martel 83, of Newton St. died Tuesday at Woonsocket Health and Rehabilitation Centre. He was the wife of Claire (Savard) Martel.
Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Henry J. and Ida (Demers) Martel.
Robert E. Moon
SMITHFIELD- Moon, Robert E., 76, passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2014. He was the husband of Lisbeth (Koskela) Moon.
Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late J. Albert and Helga I. (Hendrickson) Moon.
Mr. Moon was a teacher in the Smithfield School Dept. for 25 years before retiring and has been a Smithfield resident for over 40 years.
Besides his loving wife, he was the father of John Moon; brother of Melinda A. and the late Charles A. and Jerrod Moon.
Melissa L. Rice
LINCOLN - Melissa L. (Brodd) Rice, 41, of Lower River Rd., Lincoln and formerly of Millville, MA died April 19, 2014 at home. She was the wife of Glenn S. Rice of Bellingham. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of Charlotte (Russell) Therrien and her husband John of Blackstone and Lee Brodd and his wife Doreen of Rutland, MA.
Muriel D. Paulhus
BELLINGHAM- Muriel D. (Jodoin) Paulhus, 81, of Highland Rd., passed away on Monday, April 14, 2014, in Oakland Grove Nursing Home with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Robert L. Paulhus.
Born in Bellingham, MA., daughter of the late Willie and Antonia (Dubois) Jodoin.
Muriel was a homemaker, she enjoy spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Muriel loved to read and was an avid bowler.
CEDAR CITY, UT.- Theodore "Ted" Richard Arsenault, age 76, passed away unexpectedly, on February 23, 2014 in Cedar City, UT.
Ted was the youngest of 6 children born to Norbert & Clara (Richard) Arsenault on March 25, 1937 in Woonsocket.
Ted enlisted in the Navy and served his country for 4 years followed by 4 years in the Naval Reserve.
Mario A. Simonini
WOONSOCKET- Mario A. Simonini, 88, formerly of Kennedy St. Woonsocket died Saturday afternoon at Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island in Providence. He was the loving husband of the late Rita D. (Laferriere) Simonini.
Born in Woonsocket he was a son of the late Peter and Giocanda (Cheti) Simonini. He was a lifelong resident of the city. He moved to West Warwick several years ago to be closer to family
John H. Bonin
MOHEGAN- John H. Bonin 70, of Mohegan, died April 18, 2014 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Edda (Gombert) Bonin.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late John J. and Helen (Howard) Bonin.
John was an educator for the Bellingham School Department for many years. He was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam Era.
Diane Ellen Morrison
NORTH SMITHFIELD- Diane Ellen Morrison, 48, affectionately known to all as "Dee" passed away suddenly on April 17, 2014. She was the companion of Roslyn G. Rivet.
Born in Woonsocket she was the daughter of the late Harry and Patricia "McElroy" Morrison.
Dee worked for the State of Massachusetts as a Mental Health worker before retiring.
Lucille N. Gendreau
WOONSOCKET- Lucille N. Gendreau, 74, formerly of Mendon Rd. Woonsocket died Sunday evening at Landmark Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Bertrand Tousignant and the late Normand A. Gendreau.
Born and raised in Woonsocket she was a daughter of the late Gabriel and Bertha (Roberge) Bernier. She attended St. Louis School, graduated from St. Clare Girls High School and went on to earn her degree from Georgetown University.
Lucille entered the Religious of Jesus and Mary, was known in religious life as Sr. Raymond, and served the order for eight years.
Ella Mary Lawrence
BURRILLVILLE- Ella Mary (Lavoie) Lawrence, 95, a resident of Pascoag and Chepachet before moving to South Florida, died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014 in Green Acres, FL. She was the wife of the late Leo Lawrence.
Born in Burrillville, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Rose (McNerny) Lavoie.
