BLACKSTONE - Virginia M. Tyks, 80, of Blackstone, MA.. passed away on Monday at Landmark Medical Ctr. Born, March 5, 1934, in Blackstone, she was the daughter of the late Louis & Marie (Cormier) Tyks. She resided in Blackstone all her life. Virginia was employed as a Policy Writer for the Amica Insurance Co. for 21 years, retiring in 1975. A gifted musician she was the former organist for St. Theresa's Church and St. Paul's Church in Blackstone. Also, she was a pianist at the Wrentham State School. She belonged to the Woonsocket Musicians Local Union 262.

WOONSOCKET - Madeleine C. (Cournoyer) Crotty 89, died Sunday in Oakland Grove Health and Rehabilitation Center surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Jeremiah Crotty Jr. Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Eugene and Blanche (Boisvert) Cournoyer.

CRANSTON - Robert J. “Bob” Bacon, 75, of Cranston, died Monday, September 29, 2014 in the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence. He was the husband of Anna Marie (Bellotti) Bacon, whom he married October 25, 1980. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Dorien and Alice (Belliveau) Bacon.

WOONSOCKET - Joseph L. "Pete" Glaude, 83, of Second Ave. died Monday September 29, 2014, in St. Antoine Residence. He was the husband of the late Doris (Gatien) Glaude.
Born in Woonsocket, son of the late Wilfred and Lena (Marchand) Glaude.
He was a United States Army Veteran serving, as a Forward Artillery Observer, during the Korean Conflict
Mr. Glaude worked as a tool maker for Bird Machine Shop, and also for Woonsocket Parks & Recreation for several years prior to retiring.

WOONSOCKET - Beatrice C. Patenaude 68, of Progresso Ave. died September 28, 2014 at home. She was the wife of the late David Patenaude. Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Donat and Cecile (DeGrandpre) Cote. Beatrice worked as an inventory clerk at Walmart for a few years, she also had several various jobs throughout her life.

BROCKTON, MA - Dennis H. Fontaine 65, formerly of Woonsocket, died Wednesday, September 24, in Brockton Hospital. He was the father of Jessica Fontaine of Brockton. He was born in Woonsocket, a son of the late George and Alice (Sweck) Fontaine.
Dennis was the owner and operator of the former Hamlet Diner in Woonsocket, and worked for the Brothers of The Sacred Heart for many years before retiring in 1992.
He was a compassionate and loving father, and a very caring person to all who knew him.

She was the loving wife to Roger P. Beauchamp.
She was born in Rumford RI, a daughter of the late John & Helen (Monahan) McAuley.

NORTH SMITHFIELD - Theodore C. Surrette, 86, died Tuesday, September 23, 2014 in Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. Born in Bellows Falls, VT, he was the son of the late John and Mary (Wheeler) Surette.
Theodore was a veteran and served in the U.S. Air Force for twenty years before retiring with the rank of Sergeant. After retiring from the Air Force, he worked as a security guard for many years.
