George R. D'Alessio
BURRILLVILLE - George R. D'Alessio, 91, of Harrisville, RI, passed on May 23, 2014 at Bayberry Commons Nursing Center in Pascoag.
He was born in Pascoag, RI, son of the late Peter & Josephine (Bioto) D'Alessio.
George worked many years in area textile mills. He was a lifelong Burrillville resident. He was a WWII US Army veteran and was a lifetime member of the VFW Post.
He is survived by three sons, Robert, Donald, and Raymond D'Alessio. He is also survived by six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters.
Jeannette A. Richer
WOONSOCKET - Jeannette A. Richer 79, of Thibeault Ave., died Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Landmark Medical Center. She was the wife of Gerald Richer for fifty two years. Born in Blackstone, MA, she was a daughter of the late Aldor and Cecile (Girard) Fontenault. Jeannette was a nurse's aide for Woonsocket Health and Rehabilitation Center for eighteen years before retiring in 1996.
C. Frank Gesualdi
WOONSOCKET - C. Frank Gesualdi, 80, of Woonsocket, RI, passed away on May 25, 2014 at the Oakland Grove Health Center in Woonsocket while surrounded by his loving family.
He was the loving husband of Doris (Dumais) Gesualdi.
He was born in Woonsocket, a son of the late Francesco & Rosaria (Decotis) Gesualdi.
Richard C. St. Onge
LINCOLN - Richard C. St. Onge, 71, of Old Main Street, Manville died Sunday, May 25, 2014 at Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. He was the beloved husband of Lorraine (Gagnon) St. Onge.
Born in Woonsocket, a son of the late Lucien and Alice (Richard) St. Onge, he had lived in North Smithfield for 26 years and Woonsocket for 5 years before moving to Manville 6 years ago.
Claire J. Cardinal
BLACKSTONE, MA - Claire J. Cardinal, 65, of Blackstone, MA passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center with family by her side. Born in Woonsocket, RI on April 20, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Gerard E. and Noella O. (Turcotte) Cardinal. She was the loving sister of Hubert J. Cardinal and his wife, Therese of Blackstone, MA, and Diane L. Perron and her late husband, Thomas of Bellingham, MA, and leaves her cherished nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Mariette T. Bessette
BLACKSTONE - Mariette T. (Larose) Bessette, 85, of Blackstone, died Thursday, May 22, 2014 in her home. She was the wife of the late Henry M. Bessette. Born in St. Cesaire, Quebec, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Fabiana (Fregeau) Larose.
Mrs. Bessette worked at Tupperware, General Electric and Telechron prior to retirement. She was a communicant of St. Theresa's Church and volunteered at Mt. St. Charles Academy in the Alumni Office for the past ten years.
Elaine M. Chauncey
WOONSOCKET - Elaine M. (Gariepy) Chauncey, 86, of Woonsocket, died Sunday, May 25, 2014, in her home. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Raoul and Gertrude (Whipple) Gariepy.
Dorothy A. Thibeault
CUMBERLAND - Dorothy A. (Watson) Thibeault, 92, died on May 23, 2014 with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of the late Joseph A. Thibeault.
Dorothy graduated from URI with honors in 1983.
She is survived by her children, Judith S. Mitiguy and her husband James, Joanne Donovan and her husband Charles, Elizabeth Federman, Johnathan Thibeault, Patrick Thibeault and his wife Cheryl and Thomas Thibeault and ten grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Mary Ellen and Sue Ellen Thibeault.
Emile H. Harnois
WOONSOCKET - Emile H. Harnois, 71, of Woonsocket, died Sunday, May 25, 2014 in Landmark Medical Center. He was the husband of Constance M. (Ouellette) Harnois, whom he married November 21, 1964. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Armand and Rose (Desrosiers) Harnois.
Maurice L. Lauzon
BLACKSTONE - Maurice L. Lauzon 88, died Friday at Landmark Medical Center. He was the husband of Karen (Rohan) Lauzon and the late Francis Lauzon. Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Leo and Margaret (Plasse) Lauzon. Maurice was a truck driver for Imperial Box Co. for forty two years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 92.
Besides his wife he leaves a step-son Kevin Robinson of ME, and a step-daughter Kim Toomey of Northbridge, and four grandchildren, Erin Toomey, Shaine, Brandon, and Darrin Robinson.
