Gerard A Cartier
WOONSOCKET- Gerard A. Cartier, 90, a resident of Wyndemere Woods in Woonsocket, RI and World War II Navy veteran who served in Northern Africa, passed away after a brief illness on Sunday, March 2, 2014 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence RI. He was the husband of the late Lucille (Bilodeau) Cartier with whom he celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on September 13, 2007.
Born June 2, 1923, in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Donat and Marie Rose (Gregoire) Cartier.
Delores E. Dana
WOONSOCKET- Delores E. Dana, 79, of Woonsocket died Monday evening at Trinity Health and Rehab Center surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Donald McLauchlan and Emmanuel C. Dana.
Born in Brooklyn, New York she was a daughter of the late Gordon E. and Beatrice J. (Robarge) Ladieu. She grew up on Staten Island and raised her family there. She lived in Florida for four years before moving to Woonsocket in 1981.
Delores was employed as a waitress at many restaurants and worked at Wrights Farm Restaurant in Nasonville before her retirement.
NORTH SMITHFIELD- Carmelia (Finelli) Bernardi 88, resident of North Smithfield, formerly of Woonsocket passed away March 3, 2014 at the St. Antoine Residence.
She was the loving wife of over 67 years to the late Fernando "Fred" Bernardi.
She was born in Watervliet NY, daughter of the late Henry & Antoinette (Negri) Finelli.
Kenneth R. Richard
NORTH SMITHFIELD- Kenneth R. Richard, 57 of North Smithfield passed away Sunday.
Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Roger Richard and the late Olive Richard (Mulcahy). He grew up in Albion and resided in North Smithfield for over 25 years.
Ken and his dear friend and business partner, Tony Tutalo of Johnston, owned and operated a successful greyhound racing kennel at Lincoln Greyhound Park for over 30 years. Recently, Ken was employed by Scott Brass of Cranston.
WOONSOCKET- Janice "Jan" Ross, 64, of Woonsocket, passed away March 1, 2014 at her residence in Woonsocket RI.
She was born in Woonsocket, daughter of Doris (Pelland) Dupuis of Cumberland and the late Arthur Dupuis.
Sharon L. Silvia
NORTH SMITHFIELD- Sharon L. (Bennett) Silvia 73, resident of North Smithfield RI, passed away on March 1, 2014 at her residence surrounded by her family.
She was the loving wife of 41 years to Robert Silvia.
She was born in Sanford ME, daughter of the late Wilfred & Florence (Whiting) Marchand.
Sharon worked for 19 years in the shipping department for the InMetal Precision Sheet Metal Fabrication in Sharon MA. She lived most of her life in North Smithfield.
Alfred J. Menard, III
SOUTH YARMOUTH, MA- Alfred J. ("Fred"/"AJ") Menard, III, 80, passed away at home on Friday, February 28, 2014.
Born in Manville, he was the son of the late Rhode Island House Speaker, Alfred U. Menard, II and Flora (Lessard) Menard. He was the husband of Roxanne L. (Masson) Menard, RN, formerly of Shawinigan Falls, SUD, P.Q. Canada, and was a resident of South Yarmouth, MA.
WOONSOCKET- Clair E. Roy, 98, formerly of Winthrop St., died Friday February 28, 2014, in the Ballou Home, with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Elphege Roy.
Born in Woonsocket, daughter of the late Eugene and Cordilia (Corrigan) Michaud.
Claire worked in the laundry department for the former Woonsocket Hospital for several years prior to her getting married; at that time she enjoyed staying at home with her husband. Claire enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Robert J. Audet, Sr.
WOONSOCKET- Robert J. Audet, Sr., 45, of Johnston, passed away Friday, February 28, 2014 at Miriam Hospital. He was the husband of Tracey (DelGuidice) Audet. Born in Fall River, MA, he was the son of Judith C. (Roderiques) Audet and the late Raymond J. Audet, Sr.
Robert worked as a Fleet Manager for AAA Southern New England.
NORTH SMITHFIELD- Fernando "Fred" Bernardi, 92, resident of North Smithfield RI, formerly of Woonsocket, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2014 at the St. Antoine Residence after a long illness.
He was predeceased by his wife, Carmelia (Finelli) Bernardi, with whom he was married for over 67 years.
He was born in Providence RI, the son of the late Alfeo & Gugliema (Simonini) Bernardi.
