Stella A. Struzik
WOONSOCKET - Stella A. (Tesavis) Struzik, 86, of North Ballou St., died June 5, 2014 in Oakland Grove Health Care Center, Woonsocket. She was the wife of the late Frank Struzik. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Stella (Zutowt) Tesavis.
She worked as an elementary school teacher for the City of Cranston, and in the early fifties taught elementary school in Japan. A member of Sacred Heart Church, Woonsocket, she enjoyed singing in the choir. Stella was an advocate of the National Alliance of Mental Illness. She loved to play piano.
J. Normand Dagesse
NORTH SMITHFIELD - J. Normand Dagesse, 88, of North Smithfield died Saturday at home. He was the devoted husband of the late Beatrice V. (Caron) Dagesse. They were married for 54 years at the time of her passing in 2008.
Born in Woonsocket he was a son of the late Pierre and Dora (Brodeur) Dagesse. He was raised in Woonsocket and received part of his education in Canada.
Mr. Dagesse served in the United States Navy during WWII as an interpreter and also aboard the USS Missouri.
Andre J. Picard
WOONSOCKET - Andre "Butch" J. Picard, 60, of Armand Street, died June 5, 2014 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of Joseph Picard and the late Nancy (Lavoie) Picard
Butch enjoyed being outdoors with his Dad, helping his neighbors, and loved the Red Sox.
Besides his father, he is survived by his brother, Troy Picard of Blackstone; three sisters, Tina Almeida of North Smithfield, Lou-Ann Hawkins and Joyce Li, both of Woonsocket; as well as his cherished nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Timothy Picard.
Raymond E. Leclerc
MANVILLE - Raymond E. Leclerc, 72, a lifelong resident of Manville, died Friday, June 6, 2014 in Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. He was the husband of Claire (D'Anjou) Leclerc, whom he married November 18, 1961. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Eugene and Lucille (Rainville) Leclerc.
Therese L. Bruyere
NORTH SMITHFIELD - Therese L. (St. Onge) Bruyere, 89, of No. Smithfield, died peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, Friday, June 6, 2014. She was the wife of the late Leo Ballou, who died in 1951 and the late Oscar Bruyere, who died in 1980. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Donalda (Marquis) St. Onge.

A funeral mass to celebrate and remember the life of Lawrence W. Mousseau who left the physical world on November 27, 2013 will be held on Saturday, June 14th at 10:30 AM at Saint Joseph's Church, 1200 Mendon Road, Woonsocket, RI.
Joseph Clemento Long
WOONSOCKET - Joseph Clemento Long 58, of First Ave. died Thursday at Landmark Medical Center. Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of Richard Curtis and Clementina Long of Woonsocket. Joseph was a machinist for Alpha Grainger Manufacturing in Franklin, MA for the past fifteen years.
Besides his parents he leaves two sons Joseph C. Long and Richard M. Long both of Woonsocket, two grandchildren Alyssa and Cayden Long, a brother Bobby Long of Woonsocket, three sisters, Karen Tougas of Lincoln, Kathy Martin of Uxbridge, and Valerie Curtis of Woonsocket.
Melvin B. Defoe
WOONSOCKET - Melvin B. Defoe, 75, of Adams St, died Saturday, May 31, at the West Warwick home of his daughter Christina Walls. He was the husband of the late Gloria Racicot. Mr. Defoe was born in Monson, MA, a son of the late Michael and Patricia (Worthe) Defoe. He was a retired Navy veteran serving during the Vietnam War. Mr. Defoe served as a member of the D.A.V. Chapter 12 with great passion, was an active member and former State Commander of the V.F.W. Post 11519, and was also a member of the United Veteranâ€™s Council of Woonsocket.
William T. McCarthy
BURRILLVILLE - William T. McCarthy, 73, of Pascoag, RI, passed away June 4, 2014 at the Overlook Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Pascoag.
He was the loving husband to Marjorie (Worcester) McCarthy.
He was born in Providence, RI son of the late William & Mary (Fitzpatrick) McCarthy.
Irene B. Lamontagne
NORTH SMITHFIELD - Irene B. (Caouette) Lamontagne, 77, of Bellevue Ave., North Smithfield, died June 4, 2014 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Henry P. Lamontagne. Born in North Smithfield, she was the daughter of the late Armand and Rose (Cabana) Caouette.
