NORTH SMITHFIELD - Charles F.L. Richard, 89, formerly of Cumberland, died Friday May 9, 2014 at St. Antoine Residence. He was the husband of the late Delia R. (Fournier) Richard.
Born in Woonsocket he was a son of the late Alfred and Mathilde (Hebert) Richard. He was raised in Woonsocket and resided in Cumberland for over 50 years until moving to St. Antoine Residence.
Mr. Richard was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during WWII.

WOONSOCKET - Annette G. Lussier, 94, of Woonsocket, RI, passed away peacefully May 17, 2014 at the Oakland Grove Health Center in Woonsocket.
She was the loving wife of the late Joseph O. Lussier.
She was born in Woonsocket and was daughter of the late Oscar & Marie-Louise (LeDuc) Giguere.
Annette worked for the former Miller Electric Co., in Woonsocket for 16 years. She was a former Cub Scout den leader for R.I.A.R.C.
She is survived by a nephew and caretaker Roger Guilmain and his wife Susan and several nieces and nephews.

CUMBERLAND - Oscar V. Normandin, 92, of Mendon Rd., died May 17, 2014 in the Ballou Home, Woonsocket. He was the husband of Patricia (Garrity) Normandin whom he married November 16, 1946. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Valmore and Emma (Ayotte) Normandin.

WOONSOCKET - Ida M. (Orlando) Allard, 89, of Woonsocket, passed away on Wednesday, May 14th at Landmark Medical Ctr. She was the loving wife of the late Romeo Allard. Born Feb. 21, 1925 in Woonsocket she was the daughter of the late Savario & Maria (DaVita) Orlando.
Ida was employed at Tech Industries before retiring, she previously was a manager for the Kilnic Jewelry Co. in Woonsocket. Her favorite pastime was crocheting & cooking. She was an avid Red Sox fan.

FRANKLIN - Lionel R. Mercure 88, a Franklin resident since 1963, died Friday May 16, 2014 at Genesis Healthcare in Milford, following a long illness. He was the husband of Marie I. (Brackett) Mercure for 67 years.
Born in North Smithfield, RI February 12, 1926 a son of the late Henry O. and Lena (Herbert) Mercure, he was raised and educated in North Smithfield.
He retired from the Dennison Manufacturing Company in Framingham, where he worked for many years as a machinist.

WEST WARWICK - Eileen R. Morris 95, of West Warwick, RI, passed away on May 13, 2014 at the Kent County Hospital in Warwick.
She was the wife of the late George F. Morris.
She was born in Woonsocket, RI, daughter of the late Thomas & Bridget (O'Donnell) Lynch.
Eileen worked for the RI Department of Motor Vehicles retiring in 1983; previously she was a loving homemaker.
She is survived by her children, Terrence, George, Jr., and Thomas Morris, 6 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.

MANVILLE - Rosa P. Afonso, 98, of Sayles Hill Rd., formerly of Winter St. Woonsocket, died Thursday May 15, 2014 in the Holiday Retirement Home, She was the wife of the late Afredo Afonso.
Born in Milford, Mass. daughter of the late, Manuel and Ana (Goncalvez) Pereira.
Rosa worked for Finkelsteins, as a press operator for 6 years and then as a seamstress, for 15 years.
She is survived by her four sisters - in - laws, Ana Pereira, of Connecticut, Ester Pereira, of Portugal, Idalina Pereira of Connecticut and Delfina Pereira, of Connecticut, and many nieces and nephews.

CUMBERLAND- Clementina R. (Lopes) Desrosiers, 87, of North Carolina and previously of Murphy Drive in Cumberland passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2014 at the Gordon Hospice House, Statesville, NC. She was the beloved wife of Pete Desrosiers, and they had been happily married for 36 years. She was previously married to Norberto Coutinho who passed away in 1974.
Born in Guarda, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Jose and Rosa (Raposo) Lopes. She resided in Statesville, NC for the past 30 years, previously residing in Cumberland.
