WOONSOCKET - Rita Lemery, 74, of St. Antoine Residence and formerly of Park Avenue, died on Tuesday, October 21, in the Landmark Medical Center. Born in Bellingham, she was a daughter of the late Aldege and Alice (Riquier) Boiteau.
Rita was a homemaker, who had also worked in housekeeping in Landmark Medical Center for fifteen years.
Ruth A. Valois
MANVILLE - Ruth A. Valois, 81, of Bouvier Avenue died Monday, October 20, 2014 at Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket.
A lifelong resident of Manville, she was a daughter of the late Joseph A. and Blandine (Valois) Valois.
Miss Valois was a bookkeeper at Comtorgage Corporation, North Smithfield and later at Halifax Floral, Pawtucket for 20 years before retiring.
Hedwidge C. Simon
BURRILLVILLE - Hedwidge "Widgie" C. (Larochelle) Simon, 84, of Camp Dixie Road, Pascoag, passed away with family by her side at her home on Wednesday morning. She was the wife of the late Louis E. Esposito and the late William E. Simon.
Born in North Uxbridge, MA, the daughter of the late Eugene and Bernadette (Brochu) Larochelle, she lived in Whitinsville and Uxbridge before moving to Pascoag in 1964.
Mrs. Simon attended St. Peter's School in Northbridge and Assumption Academy in Nicolet, Canada.
Gertrude R. Huguenin
BURRILLVILLE - Gertrude R. Huguenin, 86, of Harrisville RI, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2014 at Bayberry Commons Nursing Home in Pascoag.
She was the wife of Roland L. Huguenin.
Born in Oakland Beach, RI, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Harriet (Farrington) Brown. She was a resident of Burrillville since 1930.
Gertrude worked most of her life as a spinner for the former Stillwater Co. and was an assembler for Polytop, retiring in 1974. She was a cub scout leader and enjoyed gardening and cooking as well.
Sarah T. Blakely
WOONSOCKET - Sarah T. Blakely, 82, died on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 in the Friendly Home, Woonsocket. She was the former wife of the late Roy F. Blakely, Sr. Born in Cambridge, MA, Sarah was the daughter of the late John and Sarah (Russell) Curran.
Sarah was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her family was the most important thing in the world to her. Sarah had also worked as a telephone operator and for the Boston Edison for many years. She later worked for the Woonsocket Housing Authority, retiring in 2007.
Jocelyn M. Bachand
WOONSOCKET - Jocelyn M. Bachand, 74, of Park Ave. died Wednesday, October 22, 2014 in the Elmhurst Extended Care facility with her family by her side.
Born in Woonsocket, daughter of the late Henri and Alice (Mongeon) Bachand.
Jocelyn graduated from St. Joseph School of Nursing in l962. She worked for various hospitals in the area, one of them being Fatima Hospital where she worked the longest. She worked as a registered nurse for 35 years prior to retiring.
Joseph R. Gagne
NORTH SMITHFIELD - Joseph R. Gagne 26, of North Smithfield RI, went to be with the Lord on October 17, 2014.
He was born in Portland ME., the loving son to Dennis & Cynthia (Marquis) Gagne with whom he lived.
Joseph enjoyed the outdoors, four wheeling, and especially spending time with his family.
Besides his parents, he is survived by three sisters, Aimee Benoit of Woonsocket, Becky Gagne of Buxton ME and Julie Gagne of Grey ME, his maternal grandparents, Roland Joseph & Mary Marquis. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
NORTH SMITHFIELD - David Nelligan, 56, of Woonsocket Hill Rd., died October 19, 2014 in Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. He was the husband of Leslie (Gouin) Nelligan whom he married June 18, 1988. Born in Plymouth, MA, he was the son of the late Edward R. and Lillian A. (Travers) Nelligan.
Mr. Nelligan was the owner and operator of Nelligan Trucking, North Smithfield. Dave loved boating, the ocean and especially his family.
Albert D. Desrosiers
WOONSOCKET - Albert D. Desrosiers 83, of Birch St. died Wednesday, October 15th at the Philip Hulitar Center surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Alma (Turcotte) Desrosiers. Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Delphis and Simone (Leduc) Desrosiers.
Albert worked for several area construction companies for many years. He served in the US Army during the Korean War.
