Lionel J. Lajoie
WOONSOCKET- Lionel J. Lajoie 79, resident of Woonsocket, passed away September 22, 2012 at Landmark Medical Center.
He was the husband of the late Violet (Tancrede) Lajoie.
He was born in Salem, MA, a son of the late Lionel & Lucia (Brunet) Lajoie.
Lionel was a truck driver for the Interstate Towing Co. also he worked part time for the New England Country Club. He was a veteran of Korea; he was one of the last salvage divers in RI from the war.
Roger R. Rainville
NORTH SMITHFIELD- Roger R. Rainville, 73, resident of North Smithfield, passed away on September 24, 2012 at Landmark Hospital.
He was the loving husband of Rose (Riendeau) Rainville.
Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Joseph Rainville and Florina (Carpentier) Taccone.
Roger was a carpenter for many years and a self employed carpenter formerly of REM Construction.
Raymond E. Germain
WOONSOCKET- Raymond E. Germain, 66, of Carrington Ave. passed away on September 20th.
He is survived by his daughters Samantha Germain of Woonsocket & Andrea Northrup of Florida. He also leaves three grandchildren Brandi & Joseph Sousa & Daniell Northrup. He was the son of the late Emile & Florence (Valois) Germain. He was predeceased by his son Jason.
Ray was a veteran of the U.S, Air Force. A lifelong city resident he will be truly missed by everyone.
Alice I. Trahan
WOONSOCKET- Alice Irene Trahan, 97, died peacefully on Sunday September 23, 2012, surrounded by her family at St. Antoine Residence, North Smithfield, RI. She was the wife of the late Edward J. Trahan and companion of the late Marcel Gingras.
A lifelong Woonsocket RI resident, she was born on April 15, 1915, the daughter of the late Origene and Delia (Tessier) Tessier.
WOONSOCKET- Philip Drobnis, 86, of Woonsocket, passed away September 23, 2012 after a long battle with cancer. He leaves his beloved wife and best friend of 14 years, Lucie R. (Beaulieu) Drobnis.
Born in Boston, MA, he was the son of the late Morris and Annie (Wascelssky) Drobnis.
WOONSOCKET- Catherine A. McNamara, 82, a retired elementary school teacher, passed away peacefully, with dignity, respect and love at the home of her goddaughter, niece and caregiver Donna M. Lafayette after a lengthy illness.
She was attended by her nephew Michael McNamara, Donna and Rene Lafayette, with whom she lived and their dog, her guardian Otto.
Born on December 15, 1929 in the Bannigan City section of Millville, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Winifred (Duffy) McNamara.
David R. Grady
CUMBERLAND- David R. Grady, "Dinger Dave", 63, died September 22nd peacefully surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Carolyn (Kryla) Grady.
They were married for forty-one years.
Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Thomas F. Grady Sr. and Muriel (Achorn) Grady.
Dave was a Mechanic for many years and a custodian for the Cumberland School Department. Mr. Grady was also a member of the Albion Social Club for many years.
Jessica M. Paulhus
SMITHFIELD- Paulhus, Jessica M., 29, of Waterman Avenue, Smithfield, died Tuesday September 18, 2012. She was the daughter of Andre R. and Joanne M. (Perry) Paulhus of Smithfield.
Born in Woonsocket, she had lived in Smithfield and had previously lived in Woonsocket and Burrilville. She most recently worked at Cresta Bar and Ristorante.
Ernest A. Tessier Sr.
WOONSOCKET- Ernest A. Tessier Sr. 92, of Warwick St. died Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at Oakland Grove Health Care Center. He was the husband of Gertrude (Blain) Tessier.
Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Frederick and Valeda (Lagace) Tessier.
Ernie served as a 2nd Lieutenant pilot in the US Army/Air Corps during WWII. He worked in the Quality Control Laboratory at Provost Lefebvre & Co. Inc. for over thirty years before retiring in 1985. He was a golf enthusiast and was a member of the Northern RI Bridge Club.
Robert E. Dooley
BLACKSTONE- Robert E. Dooley, 73, of Farm Street, Blackstone, died Tuesday at St. Antoine Residence in North Smithfield. He was the husband of Linda L. (Guimond) Dooley, whom he married, April 04, 1959.
Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Raymond Dooley and Helen (Plante) Moore.
He was employed as a Supervisor for Apex Pawtucket, retiring in 2001.
