WOONSOCKET- A Mass of Christian Burial for Steven A. "Beaver" Hadley will be held Tuesday, Nov. 20th at 10:00 am in St. John the Evangelist Church, Church St., Slatersville. Burial in the parish cemetery. Visiting hours omitted. Arrangements by Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home.
Shirley A. Roy
HARRISVILLE- Shirley A. (Jenckes) Roy, 70, of Chapel St. died Tuesday November 13, 2012 in Landmark Medical Center. She was the wife of Norman Roy.
Born in Woonsocket, daughter of the late Arthur and Arlene (SanSouci) Jenckes Sr.
Shirley worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at North Bay Manor prior to retiring.
Morgan D. Stets
WOONSOCKET- Morgan D. Stets, 80, of Woonsocket RI, died Wednesday, November 14, 2012 in the Milford Regional Medical Center in Milford. He was the husband of the late Rita (Tosches) Stets who died in 2001.
He was born in Middleboro Ma, son of the late Oscar and Sylvia (Bigelow) Stets and lived in Holliston, and Mendon before moving to Woonsocket RI in 2001.
He was a graduate of the Middleboro High School class of 1950. He also graduated from the Brown and Sharp Technical School class of 1958. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
NORTH SMITHFIELD- Evan Timothy Mandeville, 11, of North Smithfield, passed away peacefully at home November 13, 2012. He was the son of Timothy J. and Aimee L. (Dufresne) Mandeville.
He was a sixth grade student at No. Smithfield Middle School. Evan loved baseball and held the position of pitcher and first baseman for the 2011 North Smithfield Little League AAA championship team. He was also a little chef, his specialties were home-made chocolate chip cookies and egg sandwiches.
Laurent L. Harpin
WOONSOCKET- Laurent L. Harpin 83, of Newland Ave. died Monday at Landmark Medical Center. He was the husband of Mary Alice (Ciccone) Harpin.
Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Narcisse and Eva (Dussault) Harpin.
Annette D. Woolford
WRENTHAM- Annette D. Woolford, 90, of Wrentham died peacefully and in her home on Wednesday November 13, 2012. She had been the loving wife of the late Donald E. Woolford, Sr., who died in 2000.
Born in Woonsocket, Rhode Island on June 24, 1922, she was the dear daughter of the late Armand and Virginie (Jean) Lapierre. Her schooling was at a Girls Catholic Boarding School in Coaticook, Quebec, Canada. She grew up in Norfolk on Lawrence Street and near Bush Pond, and has been a Wrentham resident since she and her late husband moved here in 1939.
Lorraine A. Purich
BELLINGHAM- Lorraine A. (Guimelli) Purich, 72, of Bellingham, MA, passed away on Sunday, November 11, 2012 at Landmark Medical Center with loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert M. Purich.
Born in Woonsocket, RI on June 1, 1940, she was the daughter of Anthony and Alyce (Garabedian) Guimelli.
MANVILLE- Anastasia Gnot, 97, of Willis Drive, Cumberland, formerly of Chestnut St., Manville died Monday at Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island in Providence. She was the wife of the late Stephen Gnot.
Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Makal and Anna (Shewchuck) Sowiecki. She resided in Manville for most of her life and lived in Cumberland for the past 22 years.
Edgar R. Frigon
WOONSOCKET- Edgar R. "Hollywood" Frigon 91, of Main St. Woonsocket, died November 7, 2012 at Woonsocket Health and Rehabilitation Centre. He was the husband of the late Dorothy I. Frigon.
Born in Woonsocket he was a son of the late Donat and Marie (Beauregard) Frigon.
Edgar was a machinist for the Draper Corporation for thirty years before retiring in 1980. He was a WWII 82nd Airborne Army Veteran and fought in Sicily, Africa and the European Theatre and was the recipient of two Purple Hearts.
Sandra A. Duquette
NORTH SMITHFIELD- Sandra A. (Dougan) Duquette, 67, of Woodlawn Rd., died November 13, 2012 in Oakland Grove Health Care Center in Woonsocket. She was the wife of Paul R. Duquette whom she was married for 47 years.
Born in Preswick, Scotland, she was the daughter of the late James and Agnes (Alexander) Dougan. Sandra moved to the U.S. in 1965.
She worked as a CNA for Bayberry Commons, Pascoag, retiring in 2010. She also worked at the the ARC of Rhode Island for many years. Sandra was an avid reader.
