Dorothy F. Cruise
BURRILLVILLE - Dorothy F. (Durozoy) Cruise, 89, died Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Bayberry Commons Nursing Home, Pascoag. She was the wife of the late Michael J. Cruise Sr.
Born in Harrisville, she was the daughter of the late George and Eva (Demers) Durozoy.
Dorothy worked in the Housekeeping department at Zambarano Hospital of Pascoag for many years before retiring in 1985. She was a member of the St. Joseph's Rosary and Altar Society and the Burrillville Senior Citizens.
Allen W. Genereux
WOONSOCKET- Allen W. Genereux "Crutch" born on June 19, 1938 died on July 27, 2012 at Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island.
He is survived by his wife Nancy L. Genereux; six children Leslie Martin, David Genereux, Rhonda Jorritsma, Paula Colburn, Stacy Usher, Juanita Phillips. He is also survived by his sister Barbara Shaw, three nephews, thirteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
NO. SMITHFIELD- Janette (Leduc) Wilkins, 90, of No. Smithfield, died August 6, 2012 at home. She was the wife of the late George J. Wilkins.
Born in Uxbridge, MA, she was the daughter of the late Albani and Georgiana (Bouten) Leduc.
She owned and operated Janet's Drive-In, No. Smithfield, for 45 years. Janette was an avid quilter and always enjoyed trips to Foxwoods.
Joseph L. Ferriere, Jr.
WOONSOCKET- Joseph L. Ferriere, Jr., 73, of Beacon Ave., Woonsocket, died Saturday at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Joseph L. and Helen (Marchand) Ferriere.
He was a lifelong resident of Woonsocket and a graduate of Mount St. Charles, Class of 1957.
Joe was employed for many years at the Fairmount Dye House.
Joe was widely known in the city as the proprietor of Joe's Moldy Oldies on Rathbun St. Joe also had a career spanning over 40 years on local radio and was a longtime personality on WOON.
Leo R. Badeau
WOONSOCKET- Leo R. Badeau, 63, of Woonsocket, died August 5, 2102 in the St. Antoine Residence, No. Smithfield. He was the husband of Mary Jane (Godfroy) Badeau of Woonsocket.
Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Clement and Viviane (Moyen) Badeau.
Leo worked in shipping & receiving for Dartex Coatings, Inc, No. Smithfield, retiring in 2005.
Mary A. Fasano
WOONSOCKET- Mary A. (Vario) Fasano, 99, of Woonsocket, passed away on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at The Friendly Home. She was the beloved wife of the late Dominic Fasano.
Born in Woonsocket on November 9, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Croce and Laura (Iannoli) Vario.
She was the loving mother of Babe and his wife, Paulette Fasano of Millville, MA. She leaves her cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late John, Michael, Lucy and Antoinette Vario and Rosella Fasano.
Elizabeth T. Nadeau
WOONSOCKET- Elizabeth T. (Berry) (Palladino) Nadeau, 91 of Tara Lane, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2012 at the Holiday Retirement Home, Manville. She was the wife of the late Robert A. Nadeau and the late George J. Palladino.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Imelda (Hennessey) Berry. She resided in Woonsocket for most of her life, also residing in Bonnet Shores, Narragansett.
Elizabeth was employed as machinist for the Brown and Sharpe Manufacturing Company for 30 years, until her retirement.
Charles M. Kennedy
NORTH SMITHFIELD- Charles M. "Chuck" Kennedy 73, resident of North Smithfield passed away Aug. 4, 2012 at the Home & Hospice Care of RI in Providence surrounded by his loving family after a courageous and heroic battle with cancer.
He was the loving husband of 52 years to his wife Rachel (Fagnant) Kennedy.
He was born in Woonsocket RI, a son of the late Andrew & Helen (O'Gara) Kennedy.
DANVERS, MA- Rene Ledoux, 84, died on Friday August 3, 2012 at his home in Danvers, MA.
He was born in Woonsocket, RI on October 21, 1927, son of the late Hormisdas and Corinne Ledoux.
He was a lifelong resident of Norwich, CT and communicant of St. Patrick's Cathedral.
NORTH SMITHFIELD- Veronica Teja, of North Smithfield, died in Landmark Medical Center.
Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Pandely and Evanthia (Milla) Teja.
Veronica was a junior accountant for over 30 years at Amica Insurance in Providence, retiring in 1985. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Romanian Orthodox Church, Woonsocket.
Veronica is survived by her sister, Valeria Teja, with whom she lived. She was predeceased by her brother, Ionel Teja.
