Janet Mary Deschamps, of Spring Street, Wrentham, died surrounded by her loving family on October 26, 2012 at the Maples Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Wrentham.
Born in Wrentham on July 21, 1922, she was a loving daughter of the late Guybert and Charlotte (Wheelock) Armitage.
A lifelong Wrentham resident, she had attended Wrentham Schools. Janet had been employed as a dietary aid at the former Wrentham State School, previously working at the former Woonsocket Rubber Company. She had been a longtime member of the First Universalist Church in Woonsocket.
BLACKSTONE- Ruth G. (Miller) Barnatt, 92, formerly of Blackstone, MA, died peacefully October 20, 2012 surrounded by her family in Yarmouthport, MA after a brief illness.
Ruth was born in Blackstone, MA in March 1920 to Edwin A. Miller and Antoinette (Emidy) Miller. She was married to William J. Barnatt of Millville, who preceded her in death in1975.
William C. Thoman
GLOCESTER- William C. Thoman, 89, of Chopmist Hill Road, Chepachet, died Friday. He was the husband of the late Mildred V. (Salisbury) Thoman. He was the founder and the president of Thoman and Austin Heating and Air Conditioning.
Born in Foster, son of the late Albert and Eugenie (Tardiff) Thoman, he had lived in Foster before moving to Chepachet.
He served in the Merchant Marines during WWII. He was a member of Union Church in Chepachet, the Friendship Lodge #7 and the Chepachet Grange.
Anne Guay DeVuyst
MEMPHIS, TN- Anne Guay DeVuyst, 60, wife of Ron DeVuyst died October 15, 2012.
Survived by relatives in the Woonsocket, RI area.
Leo E. Powers, Sr.
BLACKSTONE- Leo E. Powers, Sr., 69, of Blackstone, died Wednesday, October 24, 2012 in his home.
Born in Woonsocket, RI, he was the son of the late Francis Powers and Gloria (Giguere) Powers-Menard.
Leo worked for the former Federal Products, Providence for 25 years, retiring as quality control supervisor in 2003. He later was an antiques broker. An avid motorcyclist, Leo was a member of the Riders of Kawasaki motorcycle club.
Helen L. Milligan
WOONSOCKET- Helen L. (King) Milligan 97, a resident of the Friendly Home, died peacefully there on Tuesday October 23, 2012. She was the wife of the late Samuel B. Milligan, who died in 1966.
Born in Lockes Millis, Maine August 26, 1915 a daughter of the late Ralph A. and Alice (Brown) King, she was raised and educated in Maine, and had formerly resided in Needham, and Boston for many years.
She retired after many years of service in the housekeeping department at the famed Parker House in downtown Boston.
She loved to read and loved spending time with her family.
William R. Clouart Jr.
EASTHAMPTON, MASS- William R. Clouart Jr., 65, of 35 West St. died at home on Oct. 10, 2012.
Born in Woonsocket, RI. A son of the late William R. and Margaret A. (Casey) Clouart, he was a Blackstone resident most of his life.
Ronald Scott Lawton
MARIETTA, GA- Ronald Scott Lawton, 25 originally of Pawtucket, RI passed away October 20, 2012 at Kennestone Hospital.
Ron was the son of Elizabeth MacBurnie Andrews and stepfather Kenneth Andrews of Woodstock, GA and Ronald Lawton of Palm Bay, FL.
EASTHAM, MASS -- Norina Anna Fiora (Pierannunzi) Gavasso, 73, of Samoset Rd. Died peacefully on Sunday October 21, 2012, at home with her husband by her side. She was the beloved wife of Roy Gavasso.
Born in Woonsocket, daughter of the late Francis and Florida (Rotatori) Pierannunzi.
Norina was a 1956 graduate of Bellingham High School graduating with High Honors.
Arthur J. Clavio
BURRILLVILLE- Arthur J. Clavio 84, resident of Pascoag, died October 21, 2012 at the Overlook Nursing Rehabilitation Center.
He was born in Providence RI, a son of the late Thomas & Eva (Grenier) Clavio.
Arthur worked for the School House Candy in Pawtucket; he was a veteran of Korea.
He is survived by his sister, Maria Bradford, nieces, Maria Onyan, and Elizabeth Steele, nephews, Neil and Albert Stilson.
He was the brother of the late Theresa Stilson.
