WOONSOCKET- Roger R. Mandeville, 90, of Oakland Grove Health Care Center died Friday, January 6, 2012 in Landmark Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Eva (Archambeault) Mandeville and the late Mary (Cronan) Mandeville. Born in Canada, he was the son of the late Eugene and Marie Mandeville.
Roger worked as an accountant for the Woonsocket Housing Authority for thirty three years, retiring in 1984. An Army veteran, Roger served in WWII. He had also been a member of Club Marquette.
WOONSOCKET- Raymond D. Denis, 83, of Knight St., passed away Thursday, January 5, 2012 in Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Johanne M. (Bombardier) whom he married on October 4, 1952. Raymond and Johanne would have celebrated their 60th anniversary in October. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late George and Florina (Rondeau) Denis.
Pauline T. Renaud
NORTH SMITHFIELD- Pauline T. (Blanchette) Renaud, 94, died Thursday, January 5, 2012 in St. Antoine Residence. She was the wife of the late Emile P. Renaud, to whom she had been married seventy-two years.
Born in Blackstone, she was the daughter of the late Adelard and Josephine (Duprey) Blanchette.
Pauline had worked as a machine operator for Polytop for seventeen years, retiring in 1979. She later was active in St Agatha's Senior Citizens organization.
Wayne G. Vose
NO. SMITHFIELD- Wayne G. Vose, 63, of Iron Mine Hill Rd., died Thursday, January 5, 2012 at home. He was the husband of the late Joyce A. (Pandolfi) Vose.
Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Irving C. and Barbara (Moore) Vose.
Mr. Vose worked as a Grocery Manager for the former Almacs, and as a Associate for Market Basket. Also, he was a twenty-seven year newspaper carrier for the Providence Journal. A Vietnam War Army Veteran, he was a member of the No. Smithfield and Cumberland Hill Fire Departments.
Savannah L. Wakely
WOONSOCKET- Wakely, Savannah L., 25, of Woonsocket, RI and Waltham, passed away January 1, 2012.
Daughter of Jo-ann M. Wakely of Mansfield and late Terrance Bernard of Boston.
Mother of Anthony, Janiah and Xaviar, all of Woonsocket. Sister of Chavon and Terrance Bernard Jr., Rodney Maxie, Jr., Briana and Brionca Williams, Deja Jones, Kyle Colo'n, Jennifer Shaver, Siedah Moten.
NORTH SMITHFIELD- Dezima "Daisy" Durand, 96, of North Smithfield, RI passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 4, 2012 at The Holiday in Manville, RI with family by her side. She was the beloved wife for 72 years of the late Leo A. Durand deceased on December 22, 2007.
Born in Woonsocket, RI on November 9, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Armand and Lydia (Tetreault) Guertin.
Rollande Y. Joyal
BLACKSTONE- Rollande Y. (Boivin) Joyal, 82, of Rathbun Street, died Wednesday, January 4th, in Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation, Westborough, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Roland Joyal.
Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Napoleon and Eva (Hervieux) Boivin.
She had worked as a Quality Control Inspector for Texas Instruments for twenty three years, retiring in 1990. She especially loved caring for her cats.
LINCOLN - Eleuterio G. Alikpala MD, 85, died Tuesday afternoon at home. He was the husband of Basilia Ramirez MD.
Born November 22, 1926, in Pola, Mindoro Philippines, a son of Eleuterio Alikpala Sr. and Catalina Gaba Alikpala.
He is also survived by three daughters, C. Marissa Alikpala, Laura Wilson, Leah Russell; three sons, Jason Alikpala, Eric Alikpala and Andrew Alikpala; 3 brothers, Eduardo Alikpala, Ernesto Alikpala and Exequiel Alikpala of the Philippines; and 8 grandchildren.
WHITINSVILLE - Therese D. Fregeau, 87, formerly of Clinton St., Woonsocket, died Friday December 30, 2011 at St. Camillus Health Center in Whitinsville. She was the wife of the late Charles R. Fregeau.
Born and raised in Central Falls, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Alida (Godbout) Roy.
She was employed at AT Cross in Lincoln until her retirement in 1987.
Therese was a member of the St. Ann's Choir and also a member of the Kennedy Manor Club. She enjoyed wearing jewelry, listening to many different varieties of music, and making sweaters for her grandchildren.
WOONSOCKET - Lucien E. Dube, 90, formerly of Monty Ave., died Tuesday at Oakland Grove Health Care Center. He was the husband of the late Theresa (Roy) Dube.
Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Louis and Graziella (Chevalier) Dube. He served in the US Army during WWII. Lucien worked for Mine Safety Appliance Co. for twenty nine years before his retirement. He was a member of the St. Joseph Veteran's Club, and the YMCA Senior Fitness Club.
