NO. SMITHFIELD- Lorraine J. (Dionne) Sutherland 74, entered into eternal life Monday, September 17th, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Roger M. Sutherland. They celebrated their fifty-sixth wedding anniversary on June sixth of this year.
She was born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Gerard and Alida (Marquis) Dionne.
WOONSOCKET- Jacqueline Macamaux 81, of Front St. died Saturday at The Friendly Home. She was the wife of the late Robert M. Macamaux.
Born in Lincoln, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Noelia (Plante) Noel. Jacqueline was a stitcher for Macamaux Upholstering for many years.
She is survived by her son Robert G. Macamaux of Warwick, a brother Julien Noel of Woonsocket, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A private burial was held in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery.
Arrangements were under the direction of Fournier & Fournier Inc.
Walter E. Kuzdeba
CUMBERLAND- Walter E. Kuzdeba, 83, of Cumberland, died Wednesday at Landmark Medical Center.
Born in Cumberland, he was a son of the late Paul and Rose (Chubay) Kuzdeba. He remained a lifelong resident of Cumberland.
Mr. Kuzdeba served in the Army during the Korean War.
He was employed as a custodian by the Cumberland School Department before retiring in 1992.
Grace L. Bourque
WOONSOCKET- Grace L. Bourque 85, of Mendon Rd. died Monday at The Holiday. She was the wife of George D. Bourque with whom she had been married for sixty three years.
Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Phillippe and Rose Anna (Deziel) Dubois.
Grace worked for the Woonsocket Junior High School Lunch Program for twenty two years before retiring in 1986. She also worked for the former Narragansett Knitting for twelve years. Grace was a member of the Senior Citizens Center and Precious Blood Seniors.
Rodney F. Oehley
WOONSOCKET- Rodney F. Oehley, 60, died suddenly Sunday September 16, 2012 at Milford Hospital.
Born in Framingham, he was the son of the late Donald V. Oehley and Kathaleen (Burr) Oehley of Hopkinton. He was the fianc of Deborah Watson of Woonsocket.
He was a 1970 graduate of Hopkinton High School and was employed by Paramont Industries. He was an umpire in the National Umpires Association of Babe Ruth Leagues. His favorite pastime was watching his grandchildren in sports, gymnastics and dance.
Maurice L. Pelletier
WOONSOCKET- Maurice L. Pelletier Passed away on August 17,2012 At the Oakland Grove Health Center at the age of 100. His wife of 70 years Bella (Trudel) Pelletier died in 2010.
He was the son of the late Jean Baptist & Elodia [ Cote ] Pelletier and was born on March 22,1912 in Woonsocket.
Maurice worked in textile mills most of his life.
He leaves a daughter, Mrs. Irene Chamberlain of Woonsocket, 2 sons, Normand Pelletier, and Maurice L. Pelletier Jr. both of Tampa FL, 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.
Mary A. McCaffrey
NO. SMITHFIELD- Mary A. (Olynyk) McCaffrey, 93, of No. Smithfield, passed away peacefully on Sunday Sept. 16th at her home, she was the loving wife of the late John V. McCaffrey.
Born, Dec. 29, 1918 in Forestdale she was the daughter of the late Paul & Anne (Giymatow) Olynyk.
She resided in No. Smithfield all her life. Mary was a bookkeeper for the Visiting Nurse Service of Woonsocket for 25 years retiring in 1984.
Gaston E. Merlet
CUMBERLAND- Gaston E. Merlet. 92, of Diamond Hill Rd. passed away peacefully on Sept. 12 th at the Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island in Providence. He was the loving husband of the late Amelia (Stefanik) Merlet.
Born Nov. 19, 1919 in Holyoke, MA. he was the son of the late Emile & Alphonsine (Guay) Merlet.
Emile was employed as a weaver at the Rochambeault Worcester Co. for many years retiring in 1984
He proudly served his country during WWII in the U.S. Navy.
He was the brother of the late Roland Merlet.
His Funeral & Burial will be Private.
BLACKSTONE- Armand Dauphin, 82, of Blackstone, MA, passed away on Friday, September 14, 2012 at the Blaire House in Milford, MA. He was the beloved husband of the late Rita (Gagnon) Dauphin.
Born in Bellingham, MA on July 18, 1930, he was the son of the late Wilfred and Laura (Chaput) Dauphin.
Garrett F. Haganey
FRANKLIN- Garrett F. Haganey 20, of Franklin died September 15 in a motorcycle accident in Franklin.
Born in Norwood, September 25, 1991, the son of Stephen and Carlene (Moustakis) Haganey of Franklin, Garrett was raised in North Smithfield, Rhode Island and had lived in Franklin for the past 6 years.
He was a graduate of Natick High School where he played on the football team.
Garrett was a member of the Laborers Union Local 609; he was working at the new Spaulding Rehabilitation Center in Charlestown and truly loved his work.
