Arthur E. Maurice Jr.
BLACKSTONE- Arthur E. Maurice Jr. 89, of Blackstone, died Thursday at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Doris (Roberge) Maurice, and the late Rita (Marquis) Maurice.
Mr. Maurice was born in Woonsocket, a son of the late Arthur E. Maurice, and the late Anna ( Poulin) Maurice.
He was a Navy World War II veteran.
Mr. Maurice was a wool sorter at the former Branch River Woolen Mill, and a machinist at Taft-Pierce and Hill Machine for many years retiring in 1987.
Glenn P. Michaud
WOONSOCKET- Glenn P. Michaud, 57 of Providence St., died, Sunday February 19, 2012.
Born in Woonsocket, son of the late Gerard and Lena (Marzini) Michaud.
Glenn worked as a Flagger for IDS Enterprises, and various other contractors. He was a member of the Local 138, Norwood, Ma.
Donald A. Lussier
NO. PROVIDENCE- Donald A. Lussier 58, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday.
He was born in Woonsocket, a son of Raymond Lussier of Cumberland and the late Pauline (Gonneville) Lussier. He lived most of his life in No. Providence.
He was self employed and owned and operated a tem-agency in Johnston for many years.
Valeda D. St. Amand
WOONSOCKET- Valeda D. (Guilbert) St. Amand 98, Formerly of Cumberland and a long time resident of died Wednesday in the Woonsocket Health and Rehabilitation Centre. She was the wife of the late William Baillargeon and the late Oscar St. Amand.
She was born in St. Hyacinthe, PQ, Canada, a daughter of the late Louis and Orise ( Lambert) Guilbert.
BURRILLVILLE- PALMIERI, Alberta L., 84, of Wallum Lake Road, died Wednesday, February 22, 2012. She was the wife of Ralph E. Palmieri. They were married for 56 years.
Born in Burrillville, daughter of the late Albert W. and Elsie L. (Congdon) Wilcox.
Alberta was a past president of the VFW Post 1023 Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by daughters, Rose Shaw of Pascoag and Alberta Hips of Bennetsville, SC, 4 grandsons and 1 great granddaughter; siblings, Lester Wilcox of Green Valley, AZ & Grace Brey of Eastern, MD. She was the sister of the late Carolyn Sherman.
HUDSON, FL- Loretta (Lori) Champeau, 70, of Hudson, FL, formerly of Mapleville, RI died January 30, 2012 at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point, Hudson, FL.
She was the beloved wife of Lionel Champeau for the past 53 years.
Born in Woonsocket, the daughter of the late Pearl and Frederick Archambault.
Loretta worked at General Motors in Framingham, MA for many years, retiring in 1991 when the plant closed.
John S. Gomes Jr.
UXBRIDGE- John S. Gomes Jr., 88, of 115 King St. died Thurs. Feb. 23 at home after an illness.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years Donna J. (St. Denis) Gomes; his 2 children Marion L. Graves and her husband Jeffrey of Harrisville, RI and Steven J. and his wife Kelly Gomes of Uxbridge; 2 grandchildren Allyson Graves and Joshua Graves with another baby Gomes on the way in August; cousins Laura Burgo and Joey Cravino; and several nephews and nieces.
PALM BAY, FL- Philip W. McMullin, Jr., 79, of Palm Bay, FL, Whitinsville, MA and formerly of Bellingham, MA, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 20, 2012 at Washburn House in Worcester, MA with his family by his side. He was the husband of Beverly A. (Dunham) McMullin and the late Audrey A. (Willhauck) McMullin.
Born in Newton, MA on November 3, 1932, he was the son of the late Philip W. and Barbara (Connolly) McMullin.
Celeste I. Cardin
UXBRIDGE- Celeste I. (Filion) Cardin, 47, died Tues. Feb. 21, 2012 in Brigham & Womens Hospital, Boston surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of David M. Cardin.
Mrs. Cardin was a Para Professional for 11 years in the Uxbridge Public School System working with special needs students and young adults at both Whitin Middle School and the Independence Project. Celeste had previously worked at Fr. Marot CYO Center in Woonsocket, RI.
Blanche F. Savageau
WOONSOCKET- Blanche F. Savageau, 86, of Woonsocket, died Friday February 10th at Trinity Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Edith (Woodward) Savageau. She remained a lifelong resident of Woonsocket.
Blanche was employed at several textile firms in her younger years and enjoyed playing bingo.
She is survived by her brother Ernest Savageau, and his wife Cecile, of Woonsocket, and a niece Karen Frigon and a nephew Kenneth Savageau.
Funeral services and burial are private.
