J. Normand L. Vaillancourt, Ph.D., 77, of Woonsocket, died Friday, January 7, 2011 in Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. He was the husband of Alice L. (Paquin) Vaillancourt whom he married July 16, 1976. Born in Greenville, NH, he was the son of the late Adelard and Camilla (Thibault) Vaillancourt.

COVENTRY - Edward E. Wethey Jr., 69, died Saturday January 8, 2011 at his home. He was the husband of Nancy L. (Bacon) Wethey. He was born on January 9, 1941 in Norristown, PA, a son of the late Edward E. Sr. and Ruth T. (McGuigan) Wethey and had been a resident of Coventry for the past ten years.
Donald T. Chabot, 49, of Woonsocket, passed away, Saturday, January 08, 2011. Born in Providence he was the son of James and Mary (Hall) Chabot of Woonsocket. Besides his parents he is survived by a brother, Steven Chabot of Woonsocket; a sister, Susan Lataash and her husband Kamal of Attleboro; two nephews, Ryan and Matthew Lataash both of Attleboro and a niece, Stephanie Lataash also of Attleboro. A service will be held Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at 11am in the O’NEILL Funeral Home, 3102 Mendon Road, Cumberland. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland.
Woonsocket --- Mary ( Kazan ) Picchioni, 94, of Aylsworth Ave., died Friday January 7, 2011, in the Woonsocket Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Remo Picchioni.
Born Manville, R. I., daughter of the late Michael and Eudokia ( Kupaska) Kazan.
Mrs. Picchioni, worked for A.T. Cross for 9 years retiring in l979.
She enjoyed nature, bird watching, and cooking.
WOONSOCKET - BRIN, Roland C, “Rod”, 86, of Privilege Street died peacefully with his family by his side on January 6, 2011 at the Friendly Nursing Home.
He was the loving husband of the late Doris B. (Bruneau), Edith (O’Dell), Frances (Ilnicki) and Mildred (Silva) Brin.
Born in Bellingham, MA, a son of the late Conrad and Alice (Moison)Brin. He lived in Woonsocket most of his life.
Mr. Brin was a mechanic until his retirement. He was a Navy veteran of WWII, a member of VFW Post 6342 and one time Commander of Amvets Post #7 in Woonsocket .
GLOCESTER – William F. “Bill” Cassidy, Jr. 51, of Pound Rd., Glocester died Jan. 6, 2011 at home surrounded by his family. He was the loving companion of Carol Fernandes.
Born May 21, 1959 in Woonsocket a son of the late William F. and Marie (Bernier) Cassidy, Sr.
Bill worked in construction for over 30 years owning and working at various construction companies.
Bill’s love for the outdoors made him an avid hunter and fisherman.
Manville – Maurice Desrosiers, 85, of Winter St. died January 3, 2011 in Landmark Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Frances ( Majewski ) Desrosiers.
Born in Providence, son of the late Hormidas and Aline ( Pellitier ) Desrosiers.
Mr. Desrosiers, worked as a Mechanic for several Garages in the area and also as a Courier, for G. Tannery Plating Co. for 20 years.
Mr. Desrosiers was a WWII Navy Veteran.
He enjoyed working in his vegetable garden.

Marie A. Cazeault
NORTH SMITHFIELD- Marie A. "Sho Sho" (Rondeau) Cazeault, 90, of Mendon Rd., No. Smithfield died Jan. 6, 2011 at Roger Williams Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Joseph Cazeault.
Born Sept. 9, 1920 in No. Smithfield, a daughter of the late Clement and Delia (Boucher) Rondeau. She was a lifelong No. Smithfield resident.
Marie worked as a cook's helper for Halliwell School in No. Smithfield for eight years, before retiring in 1979. She was a member of St. John's Senior Citizens and former officer of the Gatewoods Association.

Paulette A. Fanning
BLACKSTONE- Paulette A. Fanning 73, of Fox Brook Manor died Tuesday at Lydia Taft House in Uxbridge. she was the wife of the late Ross P. Fanning.
Mrs. Fanning was born in Woonsocket a daughter of the late Arthur and Cora (Lemieux) Gravel. She worked in the cafeteria at Blackstone Millville Jr. Sr. High School for ten years, and then at CVS Corporate office retiring in 2000.
