NO. SMITHFIELD- Alfred "Fritz" J. DiSalvo, 87, of Merrimac Rd., died Thursday, April 21, 2011 in St. Antoine Residence, No. Smithfield. He was the husband of Shirley L. (Bray) DiSalvo whom he married June 19, 1948.
Born in No. Providence, he was the son of the late Giuseppe and Antonia (Calci) DiSalvo.
Helen Lillian Demers
NORTH SMITHFIELD - Helen Lillian (Foley) Demers, lifelong North Smithfield resident, age 93, serenely passed to the other side, surrounded by her children, on Tuesday, April 19, 2011.
Predeceased by her husband, Harold V. Demers, Sr. They were married in 1942 and began their family of one daughter and two sons, Jan Demers of North Smithfield, formerly of Washington, DC, Harold V. and his wife, Diane of Greenville and Robert J. of Scituate, Massachusetts.
WOONSOCKET - Allan Thomas Sheldon, a long time resident of Woonsocket, RI, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2011 at Miriam Hospital.
Allan was a loyal volunteer at the Agape Center for many years and will be missed.
Royal W. Auger
NORTH SMITHFIELD- Royal W. Auger 85, of Old Louisquisset Pike, died Tuesday at Landmark Medical Center. He was the husband of Lillian (Lachance) Auger. Mr. Auger was born in Woonsocket a son of the late Emile and Emma (Larue) Auger. He was a machinist for Automatic Screw Machine in Attleboro for thirty years before retiring in 1990.
Besides his wife he leaves a daughter -in -law Linda Auger of Albion, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Lucien Auger, a brother Richard Auger, and three sisters, Violet Corley, Jeannette Marcil and Dorothy Trudeau.
Esthel M. Durand
WOONSOCKET- Esthel M. Durand, 93, of Grove St., Woonsocket, died peacefully Wednesday morning at home surrounded by her family. She was the devoted wife of the late Lionel C. Durand.
Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Camille and Florida (Berard) Turcotte. She was a lifelong resident of the city.
Mrs. Durand was a longtime communicant of Precious Blood Church and a former member of the parish Ladies Guild.
Esthel was a dedicated homemaker and her life centered around her family.
BLACKSTONE, MA - Alfred "Fred" Trottier, 90, of Blackstone, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 17, 2011 at St. Antoine Residence with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband for 69 years of Claire R. (Cartier) Trottier.
Dorice L. Savoie
HUSTON, TX- Dorice L. Savoie, born June 2, 1926, went home to be with her heavenly Father on Thursday April 14, 2011 after her courageous battle with cancer. Dorice was preceded in death by her late husband Wilfred R. Savoie, and her parents George Heroux and Lovia (Latour) Heroux.
Philip J. King
LINCOLN- Philip J. King, 69, of George Washington Highway, passed away Tuesday in the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence.
Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Alfred E. and Louise B. (Boice) King.
He resided in Lincoln recently, previously residing in Dearborn, MI, and Cumberland.
Mr. King was a United States Navy Veteran, serving during the Vietnam War.
BURRILLVILLE - Edward D. "Ted" Collins, 69, of Harrisville, died Sunday, April 17, 2011 at Milford Hospital, Milford, MA. He was the husband of Lucy (LaFlamme) Collins, whom he married July 2, 1977.
Born in Providence, he was the son of William and Mary (Danahey) Collins.
Ted worked at Zambarano Hospital for more than thirty years. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War.
Eric F. Corriveau
BELLINGHAM- Eric F. Corriveau, 82, of Bellingham, passed away on Monday, April 18, 2011 at Milford Regional Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of Loretta W. (Renquin) Corriveau.
Born in New York, NY on April 4, 1929, he was the son of the late J. Cyprien and Corinne (Imhoff) Corriveau.
