A committal service will be held for William "Bill" Hadley on Friday, Sept. 9th at 9:30 am in St. John's Cemetery on Church St., Slatersville.
Relatives and friends invited.
CUMBERLAND- Catherine (Taran) Engert, 75, of Harriet Lane, passed away Monday at Rhode Island Hospital Providence. She was the wife of Richard J. Engert.
Born in Manhattan, NY, she was the daughter of the late Catherine T. Taran.
She resided in Cumberland for the past 43 years.
She was a proud homemaker who had great joy in raising her family and enjoyed her cats Hunter and Bandit.
She was a communicant of St. John Vianney Church, Cumberland. She loved her family, and cherished her time with her grandchildren.
Doris L. McGee
WOONSOCKET- Doris L. (Caron) McGee, 89, of Woonsocket, passed away Sunday, September 4, 2011 in Oakland Grove Healthcare Center with her children by her side. She was the wife of the late Maurice G. McGee.
Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Francois X. and Aurore (Lussier) Caron.
Mrs. McGee was a member of Holy Family Church. She will be greatly missed.
Michael S. Scotto
PROVIDENCE- Michael S. Scotto, 80, of Smith Street, Providence, died Sunday, September 4, 2011 at Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center in Providence surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Constance M. (Kusnarowis) Scotto for fifty five years. A son of the late Vincenzo and Theresa (Cesario) Scotto, he was a lifelong North Smithfield resident prior to moving to Providence in 2008.
WOONSOCKET- Henry F. Archambault, 86, of Bernon St., Woonsocket, died Saturday at Landmark Medical Center. He was the loving husband of Jeanne (Paulhus) Archambault. He was also the husband of the late Theresa (Kelleter) Archambault, and the late Doris (Lefebvre) Archambault.
Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Gedeon and Lillian (St. John) Archambault. He remained a lifelong resident of the city.
WOONSOCKET- Donnie Alston 33, resident of Woonsocket, died August 27, 2011 at the Landmark Medical Center.
Born February 17, 1978 in Providence RI, son of Beverly (Lurvey) Chabot of No. Smithfield
Donnie worked for the former Homestead (formerly known as Arc of Northern RI). A Woonsocket resident for the last year, he previously lived in Pascoag where he lived most of his life. He competed in the Special Olympics where he received several medals.
NORTH SMITHFIELD- Mary Cecilia (McQuade) Deslauriers, 98, of No. Smithfield, died Wednesday, August 31, 2011 in the Friendly Home, Woonsocket. She was the wife of the late Gerald A. Deslauriers, who died in 1998.
Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late William T. and Mary (Hewitt) McQuade.
Dollard L. Lavallee
NO. SMITHFIELD- Dollard "Del" L. Lavallee, 63, of Great Rd., No. Smithfield, died Thursday, September 1, 2011 in Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. He was the husband of the late Linda (Rebello) Lavallee.
Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Emile and Rita (Brissette) Lavallee.
Mr. Lavallee was a maintenance technician for the RI Resource Recovery Group, Johnston. He was also a truck mechanic for Garelick Farms in Franklin, MA. Del was a member of the Teamsters, the Cercle Laurier and the Holy Ghost Society, No. Smithfield.
Sr. Rita Martinelli
Sr. Rita Martinelli, P.M. (Sr. Ste. Marie de la Presentation de Marie), 89, of the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary died September 3, 2011 at St. Joseph Residence in Manchester.
She was born in Woonsocket, RI on August 11, 1922 to Henry and Eva (Morin) Martinelli.
She entered the order of the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary in Hudson in 1941, made her first profession in 1944 and her final profession in 1949.
NORTH SMITHFIELD- Marguerite "Maggie" (Bernier) Lebel, 92, danced her way to the Lord with her family by her side on Thursday, September 1, 2011 were she was a resident of St. Antoine Residence in North Smithfield, RI. She was the beloved wife of the late Armand J. Lebel.
Born in Malbai, Canada on August 31, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Anatole and Lea (Lavallee) Bernier.
