Kevin J. Thatcher
BURRILLVILLE- Kevin J. Thatcher, 57, of Pascoag, died Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011 in St. Joseph Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, North Providence. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Malcolm and Catherine (O'Connell) Thatcher.
Kevin worked as a Regional Sales Manager for Rohm Products of America of Warwick. He was active in the charity organization Between The Cracks and was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church.
Roland L. Marceau
POWDER SPRINGS, GA Marceau, Roland L., age 77, of Powder Springs, GA passed away Tuesday, February 1 at Wellstar Cobb Hospital. He was the husband of Constance (McDonnell) Marceau and the son of the late Wilfred and Alice (Blanchard) Marceau.
He proudly served in the United States Air Force. He was a communicant of St. John's Church in Slatersville and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Frances W. Ballou
NORTHBRIDGE- Frances W. (Wenclawik) Ballou, 83, passed away peacefully on Saturday at the St. Camilus Health Ctr.
in Northbridge, MA.
Born Jan. 30, 1928, in Woonsocket she was the daughter of the late Walter & Stasia (Kusior) Wenclawik she resided in No. Smithfield for many years before entering the Health Ctr.
Frances was a supervisor for the former New England Telephone Co., now Verizon, for 43 years, retiring
Helene E. Phillips
WOONSOCKET- Helene E. Phillips 68, of Mendon Rd. died Saturday at Landmark Medical Center. She was the beloved wife of Robert P. Phillips.
Helene was born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Armand and Celia (Laplante) Cournoyer.
She was a phlebotomist at Southwood Community Hospital in Norfolk, MA for eighteen years before retiring in 1999. Helene was an avid reader, and loved the beach, but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
Doris E. White
GLOCESTER- Doris E. White, 86, of Snake Hill Road, died Saturday, February 05, 2011 at her home. She was the widow of Arthur R. White.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Clara (Berna) Gervais. She had lived in Glocester for 47 years.
She is survived by her children Janice A. Knight of Chepachet, Douglas R. White of Glocester, 4 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Henry, Raymond and Clara Gervais, Leah Dionne, Edna Cooper and Norma Tomasso.
Paul R.G. Auclair, Jr.
ANCHORAGE, AK - USAF SSGT. Paul R.G. Auclair, Jr., 28, formerly of Cumberland died unexpectedly Friday, January 28, 2011. He was the husband of Jenni L. (Cornelle) Auclair.
Born in Woonsocket, the beloved son of Celina (Charland) Auclair of Cumberland and the late Paul R. G. Auclair, he had lived in Cumberland before moving to North Carolina for 4 years. He had been stationed in Alaska for the past 3 years.
While in the Air Force, he was deployed three times, twice to Iraq and once to Korea.
Caroline H. Peloquin
MANVILLE- Caroline H. Peloquin, 89, of Railroad St., Manville, died Thursday at Landmark Medical Center with her family at her side. She was the wife of the late Bernard Peloquin.
Born in Manville, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Antonia (Ziemba) Holubesko. She was a lifelong resident of Manville.
Mrs. Peloquin was employed by the State of Rhode Island school lunch program with the Lincoln schools for over 25 years. She also worked at the Manville-Jenckes mill in her early years and later at Piette Jewelers before her retirement.
WOONSOCKET- Raymond Gemski, 85, of Park Avenue, passed away Friday in the Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. He was the husband of the late Rose (Kuchiryvka) Gemski.
Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Peter and Annie (Lanowy) Gemski. He was a life-long Woonsocket resident.
Mr. Gemski was a United States Navy, World War II Veteran.
He was employed by the former Woonsocket Hospital as a Nuclear Medicine Technician until his retirement.
BURRILLVILLE- Dina (Travaglini) Leone, 79, of Oakland, passed away on Tuesday, February 01. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 51 years, Peter J. Leone, Sr. in 2005.
Born in Hopedale, MA, she was the daughter of the late Fortunato and Emma (Piccioli) Travaglini.
A wise and gentle woman, Dina's greatest joy was her cherished family. She was an amazing mother whose love and caring extended beyond her own family. She instantly became known as "Ma" to the many friends and acquaintances that experienced her kindness and generosity throughout the years.
Roland R. Rainville
WOONSOCKET- Roland R. Rainville 82, of Burrington St. died Monday at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Claire E. (Arsenault) Rainville.
Mr. Rainville was born in Woonsocket a son of the late Elce and Rose (Riendeau) Rainville, and foster son of the late Aurore (Riendeau) Plante.
