Ernest J. Jacques
ALBION- Ernest J. "Ernie" Jacques, 78, of School St., Albion, died Tuesday evening at The Holiday in Manville. He was the loving husband of Lillian (Henault) Jacques.
A lifelong resident of Albion, he was a son of the late Henry and Rosilda Jacques.
Mr. Jacques served in the Rhode Island National Guard for over 30 years. He was employed by American Tourister, Madison Industries, and BJs Wholesale Stores.
WOONSOCKET- Robert E. Provencal Sr. of Grandview Ave. passed away on March 21, 2011 at Landmark Medical Ctr., he was the loving husband of Bonnie (Marshall) Provencal.
Born Jan. 22, 1948 in Woonsocket he was the son of Rita (Landry) Provencal of Woonsocket and the late Ernest Provencal.
Ernest A. Bouley
NORTH SMITHFIELD- Ernest A. Bouley, 65, of Sharon Parkway, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston with his family by his side. He was the loving husband of Claire I. (Lafleur) Bouley. They were married for almost 44 years.
Born in Woonsocket on June 11, 1945, he was the son of the late Eugene E. Bouley Sr. and the late Rita (Tavernier) Bouley.
Ernest was employed as a bus driver for RIPTA for 36 years and operated the Fairmount /Walnut Hill route for many years.
Rita D. Simonini
WOONSOCKET- Rita D. Simonini, 80, of Kennedy St., Woonsocket, died Monday at Landmark Medical Center. She was the wife of Mario A. Simonini. They were married on November 24, 1950.
Born in Manville, she was a daughter of the late Lionel and Mirza (Beaudoin) Laferriere. She was raised in Manville and resided in Woonsocket for over 50 years.
Mrs. Simonini worked for AT Cross in North Smithfield for many years and previously worked as the Falls Yarn Mill.
Doris M. Holcomb
CUMBERLAND- Doris M. Holcomb, 86, of Mendon Rd., Cumberland, died Monday at Fatima Hospital in North Providence. She was the wife of the late Bertrand H. Holcomb.
Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Valmore and Adeline (Bousquet) Dumont. She was a lifelong resident of Cumberland.
Mrs. Holcomb was employed by Texans Instruments, General Instruments, and AT Cross before retiring in 1986.
She was a communicant of St. Joan of Arc Parish and a member of the St. Agatha Sr. Citizens Club.
WOONSOCKET- Helen F. "Fran" Eagan, 78, resident of Woonsocket, passed away March 22, 2011 at the Friendly Home.
Loving wife of fifty years to Edward Eagan.
Born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Andrew & Helen (O' Gara) Kennedy.
Fran worked in area textiles. She was a lifelong Woonsocket resident.
Rochelle T. Gaulin
WOONSOCKET- Rochelle T. (Tellier) Gaulin, 84, of Pond Street, died Sunday March 20, 2011,at the Holiday Retirement Home, with her family by her side. She was the wife of Roland A. Gaulin.
Born in Pawtucket, daughter of the late Emmanuel and Rhea E. ( Vandel) Tellier.
Mrs. Gaulin worked for Brisbane Mill and Woonsocket Spinning Co. for several years and as an Assistant Cook for the Woonsocket School Lunch Program.
She was active in St. Joseph Church and volunteered for St. Joseph Bingo for 45 years. Rochelle spent her retirement years enjoying her family.
Paul E. Blanchette
WOONSOCKET- Paul E. Blanchette, 71, of Woonsocket, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, March 18, 2011 with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband for 41 years of Claudette M. (Menard) Blanchette.
Born in Woonsocket on January 21, 1940, he was the son of the late Arthur and Florence (Leduc) Blanchette.
BELLINGHAM- Joseph E. "Ed" Thibodeau, 76, of Bellingham, passed away at home on Sunday, March 20, 2011. He was the beloved husband for 54 years of Mary J. "Joan" (Imough) Thibodeau.
Born in Bathurst, New Brunswick, Canada on April 16, 1934, he was the son of the late Arthur and Sarah (Hachey) Thibodeau.
Felice P. Manni
JOHNSTON- Felice P. (DiPietro) Manni, 74, of Johnston, passed away on Friday, March 18, 2011 at Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. She was the beloved wife of Frank Manni. They were married for fifty-one years. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Jeanette (Scola) DiPietro. Felice was a telephone operator for the former New England Telephone Company for five years. She was later employed as a baker for the former Almac's Supermarkets for ten years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
