MARGARET "TERRY" THERESA(MONDOUX) RUO
WOONSOCKET - Margaret "Terry" Theresa (MONDOUX) Ruo, 86, of Woonsocket, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 3, 2014, in the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Antoinette (Proulx) Mondoux. She married Frank Ruo, Jr., on December 30, 1950, and he preceded her in death on May 13, 1986.
Terry enjoyed all sports, and played tennis and golf until age 80. An avid traveler, she travelled to all 50 states and many European countries.
Ronald C. Munschy
WOONSOCKET - Ronald C. Munschy, 79, of Congress St. died, Thursday October 2, 2014, in the Phillip Hulitar Inpatient Center. He was the husband for sixty years to the late Lucille (Lavallee) Munschy.
Born in Woonsocket, son of the late Robert J. and Florence (Emery) Munschy.
He worked for 40 years in Foods Sales for Borden Foods and Halpern Bros.
Anna M. Campopiano
CUMBERLAND - Anna M. Campopiano, 90, of Cumberland, passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2014. She was the wife of the late Augusto E. Campopiano Sr. Born in Norton, MA, she was the daughter of the late Adelard and Dolores (Gagner) Dufresne. Anna had lived in Cumberland before moving to South Yarmouth where she lived for 18 years. She was a case worker for the State of RI for 22 years, retiring in 1987.
Marlene Ann Cooney
PORTSMOUTH, VA - Marlene Ann Cooney, 77, left peacefully with family and friends at her side on October 1, 2014. She is the daughter of the late Rosealba and Edward Cooney, Jr. of Pascoag, Rhode Island.
Marlene's heart was open to all that she met. She loved her family and friends deeply. She enjoyed reading, music, and most importantly spending time conversing with family and friends, always ready to lend a kind ear. Before retiring she enjoyed working each day at Swift Garages in Norfolk, VA.
Doris C. Pelypec
WOONSOCKET - Doris C. Pelypec 88, of East School St. died Wednesday at Overlook Nursing Home in Burrillville. She was born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Alfred and Bernadette (Peloquin) Lussier.
Doris was a spinner at Falls Mill Yarns for many years. She was the Past President of the Franco American War Veteran's Association, and a past officer and member of the Park View Club. Doris was an avid reader, and knitter and she enjoyed playing bingo.
Robert A. Duval
MILLVILLE, MA - Robert A. "Bob" Duval, 58, of Millville passed away Wed. October 1, 2014 at home, surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Ellen (Briggs) Duval.
Mr. Duval owned and operated R. A. Duval Welding and Fabrication for many years.
Visiting hours will be held Sunday, October 5, 2014 from 1-5 PM in the BUMA FUNERAL HOME, 101 North Main St., Uxbridge, MA.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 6, 2014 at 10:00 AM at St. Paul's Church, 48 St. Paul St., Blackstone, MA.
Richard L. Descoteaux
WOONSOCKET - Richard L. Descoteaux, 69, of Woonsocket, passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at the Philip Hulitar Center. He was the son of the late Royal Descoteaux and Cecile (Myette) Belcourt, and the loving father of Stefanie A. Anderson and Melissa L. Descoteaux both of Woonsocket.
WOONSOCKET - Lillian Durand 96, formerly of Woonsocket, died Tuesday at St. Antoine Residence. She was the wife of the late Adrien E. Durand. Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Amanda (Berard) Gagne. Lillian worked as a seamstress at St. Antoine Residence for several years. She was a pianist and a member of the Beethoven Club. She graduated from Le College St. Maurice in Ste. Hyacinthe, PQ Canada.
John J. McNamara
MILLVILLE - John J. McNamara, 91, of Millville, passed away Wed. October 1, 2014 at home with his family by his side. He was the husband of Evelyn I. (Collins) McNamara, with whom he would have celebrated 67 years of marriage on November 29th.
He was born on Feb. 3, 1923, son of the late Edward and Winifred (Duffy) McNamara, and lived in Millville all his life. He was a 1941 graduate of the former St. Mary's High School in Milford.
Virginia M. Tyks
BLACKSTONE - Virginia M. Tyks, 80, of Blackstone, MA.. passed away on Monday at Landmark Medical Ctr. Born, March 5, 1934, in Blackstone, she was the daughter of the late Louis & Marie (Cormier) Tyks. She resided in Blackstone all her life. Virginia was employed as a Policy Writer for the Amica Insurance Co. for 21 years, retiring in 1975. A gifted musician she was the former organist for St. Theresa's Church and St. Paul's Church in Blackstone. Also, she was a pianist at the Wrentham State School. She belonged to the Woonsocket Musicians Local Union 262.
