Mount boys bomb La Salle, 7-2

WOONSOCKET --- The second period belonged to Mount St. Charles. So did the Mounties’ showdown with La Salle Academy on Friday night.
Zach Samborsky tallied a pair of goals during a high-scoring middle period that saw the Mounties light the lamp four times and eventually take off with a 7-2 win before one of the largest crowds of the season at Adelard Arena.

WARWICK – That’s one way to break out of a slump.
Senior Jessica Salisbury earned her first-ever hat trick and senior teammate Kayla Kiernan scored twice and also had three assists as North Smithfield cruised past the Warwick Lady Titans, 7-0, Friday night at Thayer Arena. The win snaps a four-game losing skid that began on New Year’s Day with a 4-1 setback to Division I co-leader Mount St. Charles Academy.

WOONSOCKET --- Outshooting a team by a overwhelming 57-7 margin is usually an ingredient to a blowout victory, but that wasn’t the case on Friday night in Mount St. Charles Academy’s big showdown for first place with La Salle Academy.
The Mounties fell victim to a 53-save performance by one of the state’s best netminders, junior Holly Scott, but were still able to skate away with a hard-fought 4-2 victory at Adelard Arena that kept them unbeaten at 8-0.
