WARWICK – Bishop Hendricken had no problems with Woonsocket Friday night en route to a 61-40 victory over the Villa Novans. The loss drops Woonsocket to 1-6 in Division I-North while the Hawks improve to 4-2 in league play.
Cody L’Hureux finished with eight points to lead Woonsocket while Flavio Barros chipped in with seven.

WOONSOCKET – Mount St. Charles tuned up for tonight’s showdown with Moses Brown with a 6-4 win over Cranston West Friday night at Adelard Arena. The Mounties took a 4-3 lead heading into the final period before striking twice in a six-minute span.
Mount, now 6-0 in Division I, jumped out to a 3-1 lead after one period on goals by Zach Samborsky, Ben Handanyan and Trevor Plante. The lead grew to 4-1 early in the second period before the Falcons scored the next two goals to narrow the gap to one heading into the final stanza.
WOONSOCKET – So much for rebuilding.
Woonsocket continues to scoff at the notion of turning over a new leaf, the latest example coming Friday in a satisfying 48-36 win against Ponaganset at Savaria Gymnasium. The defending state champion Novans improve to 4-1 in Division I-North, 6-2 overall.
