Brayboy, Fugere pace Novans over Clippers

CUMBERLAND --- After suffering a 39-point shellacking two nights earlier, Woonsocket High got back on track in a big way on Friday night.
Seniors Kailey Fugere and Michelle Brayboy had superb games for the Villa Novans, who used an 18-point run midway through the second half to breeze to a 58-33 victory over Cumberland High in their Division I-North matchup at the Clippers’ Wellness Center.

Bill O’Brien could be walking into a no-win situation as the next head football coach at Penn State. While the current Patriots’ offensive coordinator may seem like a solid choice on the surface, the news of his selection hit hard with Penn State alumni on Friday.
Former Penn State linebacker LaVar Arrington represented the thoughts of many ex-players upon hearing the news that an “outsider” would be the next head coach.
