Pasquarelli, Linek snag first titles at Northern Divisions

CUMBERLAND — Mount St. Charles junior Anthony Pasquarelli admitted he felt “pretty good” while prepping for the high jump at these Northern Division Championships, held at Tucker Field on Monday afternoon.
But even he didn’t anticipate walking away from the meet with his first-ever divisional crown, thanks to a leap of six feet, two inches.
He had outstanding reason: After all, he had to battle Central Falls High junior phenom Erik Mateo, who back in February became that event’s champion at the state indoor meet at the Providence Career & Technical Academy’s field house.
