Paul A. Lanctot
WOONSOCKET- Paul A. Lanctot, 62, of Woonsocket, passed away at Landmark Medical Center on January 13, 2012.
Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Raymond and Claire (Paulhus) Lanctot.
Paul was a kitchen worker and general laborer for the Arc of Northern RI. He was a member of the Special Olympics, a long time Boy Scout and an avid bowler on his Sunday league. His favorite past time was dining out.
CUMBERLAND- Joseph Marcel Rosaire "Ross" Lamontagne, 79, died on December 25, 2012 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband for 61 years of Margaret Madeline (Bouchard) Lamontagne who has been his sweetheart since Junior High School.
He was the son of the late John and Angelina (Charbonneau) Lamontagne.
Dennis P. Leclerc
WOONSOCKET- Dennis P. Leclerc, 54 of Seamans Street, passed away Tuesday in the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence. He was the husband of Lisa (Minchillo) Leclerc.
Born in Woonsocket he was the son of the late Roger and Beatrice (Chabot) Leclerc. He was a life-long resident of Woonsocket.
He was employed as a Shipping and Receiving Clerk for CVS Caremark for the past 20 years.
Beatrice G. Plante
ORMOND BEACH, FLORIDA- Beatrice G. (Andre) Plante, 84, of Ormond Beach, Florida, formerly of Woonsocket, RI, died Saturday, January 5. She was the beloved wife of Arthur J. Plante for sixty-four years. They were wed April 30, 1949 at Precious Blood Church, Woonsocket, RI.
Born in Smithfield, RI, she was the daughter of the late Joaquim and Laura (Noiseux). Prior to moving in Florida in 1973, she had worked as a seamstress at various companies, including Finkelstein's, the U.S. Rubber Company, and Needlecraft.
WOONSOCKET- Arthur David DesMarais 61, of Woonsocket, formerly of Framingham Ma. died suddenly on December 18, 2012 at the Providence Hospital.
He was born August 6,1951 a son of the late Joseph H. and Marguerite (Lafreniere) DesMarais of Framingham Ma. He also served in the Marine's with honors as he was a printer by trade.
He is survived by his wife Victoria (LePage) of 14 yrs. formerly of Watertown Ma. and his daughter Kimberly A. DesMarais with two grandchildren also his siblings Walter, Robert, Joan, Rita and Joyce.
NORTH SMITHFIELD â€” Shea High veteran head coach John Lickert indicated before the contest he didnâ€™t know how his squad would fare against Division III-North host North Smithfield on Monday night.
He had a variety of reasons, as his Raiders had to battle the Northmen without the services of sophomore swing Carol Rodriguez and junior forward Najah Goncalves. Rodriguez, his leading scorer and rebounder, had suffered a possible concussion in a loss to Davies Tech on Friday, and Goncalves â€“ another stellar starter â€“ had sustained a laceration to her head in the same tilt.
Angela J. Carney
SMITHFIELD- Angela J. (Bonoyer) Carney, 48, of Smithfield, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013 in RI Hospital, Providence. She was the wife of Thomas Carney whom she married Dec. 15, 2001.
Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of Elizabeth (Smith) Bonoyer of Pascoag and the late Louis Bonoyer.
Robert A. Ballou
NORTH SMITHFIELD- Robert A. Ballou 82, of Obeline Dr. died Saturday at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Yolande (Brochu) Ballou.
Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Edmond and Marion (St. Pierre) Ballou.
Anthony A. Cecconi
HARRISVILLE- Anthony A. "Tony" Cecconi, 91, of Inman Rd. died peacefully Monday January 14, 2013, at home with his family by his side.
He was the husband of the late Camella (Silba) Cecconi, who died on August 15, 2012, Tony and Camella were married for 69 years.
Born in Manville, son of the late Egidio and Angelina (Simonini) Cecconi.
Mr. Cecconi served in the United States Army.
He worked as a Rate Clerk, for Nelson Freight Ways, for 19 years, prior to retiring.
He served as a Trustee for St. Anthony's Church and was also on the finance committee.
William A. Steere Sr.
BURRILLVILLE- Steere, William A., Sr.,76, passed away Sunday January 13, 2013. He was the husband of the late Dorothy M. (Smith) Steere.
Born in Glocester, a son of the late John P., III. and Mary E. (Howard) Steere. He was a lifelong Burrillville resident and a heavy equipment operator for the Steere Contracting Co. of Hudson, MA for over 30 years before retiring in 1990.
