Raymond F. Lachance

FRANKLIN- Raymond F. Lachance 80, of Franklin, died peacefully, Monday October 8, 2012 at Milford Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family following an illness. He was the beloved husband of Anita G. (Danello) Lachance.
Born April 14, 1932 in Pawtucket, RI a son of the late Joseph S. Lachance, Sr. and Catherine (Greene) Lachance, he was a longtime resident of Franklin and was a former resident of Central Falls, RI.
He was raised and educated in Central Falls, RI and until his retirement, he worked for the former Madison Industries as an inspector.

Judge OKs Landmark sale to Prime Health Care

PROVIDENCE — Faced with what was portrayed as a now-or-never choice, a Superior Court judge yesterday approved the sale of financially troubled Landmark Medical Center to Prime Health Care of California.
Judge Michael Silverstein’s decision clears the way for the fast-growing, for-profit chain to seek approval of the $60 million deal from state regulators under the Hospital Conversions Act.
Prime says it will take no longer than 45 days to submit a formal application to regulators and, if it’s approved, they’re ready to close on the sale by May 31, 2013.

Born in Stoneham, MA, she was the daughter of the late Adam and Josephine (Ruczszuk) Koprek.

WOONSOCKET- William "Billy" Hutchins, 50, of Harrison Ave., died Friday October 5, 2012, at home.
Born in Woonsocket, son of the late Willard F. and Claire (Murphy) Hutchins II.
William worked as a Meat Cutter for Price Choppers in Worcester, and in Auburn, Mass. for thirty years.

NORTH SMITHFIELD- Edith Harrison 97, resident of North Smithfield, passed away October 5, 2012 at the Friendly Home in Woonsocket.
She was born in Glendale, a daughter of the late John & Selma (Simoneau) Harrison.
Edith worked many years in the textile industry as a worsted mender, retiring from the former Worcester Textile Co. after more than 20 years; she fully retired at the age of 91 from the Senior Services after 20 years.

MURPHY, NC- Albert Himsey, age 87, of Murphy, NC went home to be with the Lord Friday, October 5, 2012.
He was a native of Pawtucket, Rhode Island and the son of the late George and Margaret Himsey.
Albert was a retired machinist and Preacher, and a member of the Murphy Free Methodist Church. He was a hero of his faith in the Lord, a dedicated family man and a US Marine World War II Veteran. He will be remembered as a man of honor, great dignity, integrity and a gentlemen.

WOONSOCKET- Aline S. (Baro) Riendeau, 94, of Woonsocket, died Saturday, October 6, 2012 in Landmark Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Leo Riendeau.
Born in Woonsocket, RI, she was the daughter of the late Clement and Eudora (Gaboury) Baro.
Aline was a resident of Trinity Health and Rehab in Woonsocket for 5 years. Her favorite pastime was playing Bingo and spending time with her friends. She was a communicant of St. Agatha's Church and a member of its Senior Citizen's Group.

BURRILLVILLE- Edward C. George, 85, of Sayles Ave. Pascoag, died Sunday Oct. 7, 2012 in Home & Hospice Center, Providence. He was the husband of the late Jeannette F. (Gabrielson) George and Katherine (Pytel) George.
Born in Slatersville he was the son of the late Prudentia and Mary (Silva) George.

THOUSAND OAKS, CA- Nicholas B. Messier, 64, of Thousand Oaks, California, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2012.
He is survived by his wife Jayne Sprague Messier.
Born June 26, 1948 in Hartford CT, he was the son of Bernard and Jeanne Messier, formerly of North Smithfield RI.
Messier attended Williston Academy in Easthampton, MA and Loyola College in Montreal. He was a long time craftsman of fine furniture and custom cabinetry.
He and wife Jayne enjoyed many summers at their family home on the shores of Sand Point Lake in Minnesota.
