WOONSOCKET- Richard Enright, 63, passed away on Sept. 2nd, at his home. Born Sept, 7, 1948, he was the son of the late Francis & Pauline (Silvia) Enright.
Richard is survived by 2 brothers John & Ronald Enright both of Woonsocket, 3 sisters, Barbara Heroux & Linda Byam, both of Woonsocket & Patricia Pierce of Michagan. He was the brother of the late Maurice Enright and life partner of the late Gregory Bridges, He also leaves several nieces & nephews.
WOONSOCKET â€” In a stunning upset, city firefighter Stephen M. Casey defeated incumbent State Rep. Jon D. Brien last night in the Democratic primary for District 50, the winnerâ€™s first political outing.
The unofficial tally at press time had Casey with 704 votes to Brienâ€™s 654. It was close but numerically too far a bridge for Brien to cross on absentee ballots, with just 48 distributed in the district, according to local canvassing authorities.
CUMBERLAND â€” Mia A. Ackerman will advance to the general election ballot as the Democratic contender for House District 45 after defeating veteran state Rep. Rene R. Menard in Tuesday's primary election.
Voters going to the polls Tuesday were given the task of narrowing the field of two Democratic candidates vying for the House District 45 seat, which also includes portions of Lincoln. Ackerman, a Cumberland town councilor, came out on top and trounced Menard in Cumberland with a vote of 842 to 552, but lost to Menard in Lincoln by a vote of 222 to 345.
LINCOLN â€” In an night of change for local members of the General Assembly, incumbent Dist. 46 state Representative Jeremiah T. O'Grady could point to hard work on his primary campaign as having made a connection with local voters.
O'Grady topped his Democratic primary challenger John D. Barr III in a tally of 736 votes to 416, or 63.8 percent of the turnout to Barr's 36.1 percent, according to town election results.
Incumbent U.S. Rep. David N. Cicilline takes to the stage, surrounded by family, close friends and campaign workers, at Blaze Restaurant on Providence's East Side, to claim victory over opponent Anthony Gemma, a Lincoln businessman, shortly after 9:00 Tuesday night. Cicilline, who won 62 percent of the vote to Gemma's 30 percent, in the hardfought primary, was elated after being introduced by R.I.
BURRILLVILLE- Elizabeth Tremblay, 59, passed away on August 29, 2012.
Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late James & Isabelle (Johnson) Savoie.
She is survived by her husband Armand Tremblay of Woonsocket, 3 sons, Allan Tremblay of No. Smithfield, David Tremblay of Woonsocket, Jeremiah Tremblay of Burrillville and a daughter Debbie Hamilton of Kingston, RI, also 5 brothers, Frances, James, Robert & Edward Savoie all of Woonsocket, Raymond Savoie of Burrillville, 2 sisters, Carolyn Lavoie of California & Linda Silva of Woonsocket.
Robert A. Krajcik
BELLINGHAM- Robert A. Krajcik, 65, of Bellingham, MA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 5, 2012, at Milford Regional Medical Center with his loving family by his side, after a courageous battle with lymphoma. He was the beloved husband for 42 years of Pauline M. (Benjamin) Krajcik.
Born in Cleveland, OH, on October 3, 1946, he was the son of the late William and Mary (Wisnoski) Krajcik.
Lillian C. Winter
WOONSOCKET- Lillian C. Winter 74, of St. Joseph St. died Monday at Trinity Health Center. She was the wife of Robert A. Winter Jr.
Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Herman and Florence (Boilard) Martineau.
Lillian was a seamstress for Royal Robes Inc. for many years before retiring in 1991.

BLACKSTONE- A funeral service for Richard Ravenelle, Jr. will be held Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 10AM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket.
