PROVIDENCE — Freddy Gobewole has had problems with his shoulder since his junior campaign last year when he tore his rotator cuff during a scrimmage game for the Shea High football team.
But that hasn’t stopped the talented senior from tearing up the track with his unmatched speed.

NORTH SMITHFIELD- Florence A. Beard 85, of Rhodes Ave., died Sunday at Landmark Medical Center. She was the wife of Richard P. Beard.
Mrs. Beard was born in Woonsocket a daughter of the late Alphonse and Marie Anne (Nadeau) Beaudet.
She was a textile worker and worked for Woonsocket Spinning Co. for eleven years and then Riverside Industries for eight years before retiring in 1975.

WOONSOCKET- Louis Viscione, 93, of Woonsocket, died Friday, January 14, 2011 in The Holiday Retirement Home in Lincoln. He was the husband of Elizabeth (Santucci) Viscione.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Paul and Antonia (Calce) Viscione and step-son to Guiseppe "Dick" DiSalvo. He lived in Woonsocket for most of his life.

CUMBERLAND- Albert E. Jannarelli, 94, of Rosemont Avenue, passed away Sunday in the Miriam Hospital, Providence. He was the husband of the late Louise (Wojtkun) Jannarelli.
Born in Lincoln, he was the son of the late Domenico and Clara (Brown) Jannarelli. He resided in Cumberland for most of his life.
Mr. Jannarelli was most recently employed by the National Tire Retread Association of Washington, DC from which he retired. He was previously employed by Owens Corning Fiberglass for 33 years.

NEW BEDFORD, MA- Armand A. Suffoletto, 91, of Dartmouth, MA, (formerly of Woonsocket and Lincoln RI), passed away Friday, January 14, 2011 after a long illness. He was the husband of Rena M. (Desmarais) Suffoletto of Dartmouth.
Born in Woonsocket, the son of the late Guiseppe and Margarita (Chicorella) Suffoletto, he and his wife lived in Woonsocket and Lincoln and were communicants of St. Anthony's Church until moving to Dartmouth in 2006.

WOONSOCKET- Veda M. Tellier, 91, resident of Woonsocket passed away on January 13, 2011 at her daughters home surrounded by her loving family.
Born Nov. 18, 1919 in Voulintown CT, a daughter of the late Wilfred & Josephine (Gauthier) Desrosiers.
Veda worked for the former Montrose-Worsted Co. retiring in 1967. She lived most of her life in Woonsocket.

MANVILLE- Cecile ( Martin ) Garneau, 87, of Railroad St. died , Friday January 14, 2011, at home peacefully with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Eugene L. Garneau.
Born in Woonsocket, daughter of the late Etienne and Clarisse (Mercier) Martin.
Cecile was a homemaker.

BLACKSTONE- Beatrice A. (Ledrew) Lee, 94, of, MA died Saturday, January 15, 2011 in the Friendly Home, Woonsocket. She was the wife of the late Bradford Lee.
Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Amelia (Voisinet) Ledrew.
Mrs. Lee worked for thirty-five years as an Assembler for the Former Homer-Alden Box Company in No. Attleboro, MA retiring in 1986. She was a communicant of St. Paul's Church in Blackstone, MA.

WOONSOCKET- Roland E. Hudon 65, of Rodman St. died Saturday at home. He was the husband of Doris (Boisvert) Hudon.
Roland was born in Woonsocket, a son of the late Elphege and Marie (Cotnoir) Hudon.
He worked for the Providence and Worcester Railroad for thirty years as the maintenance manager, retiring in July of 2010. Roland was the former commander of the St. Joseph Veterans Club, he was an avid bowler and loved to play cards.
