PROVIDENCE – It was announced today (May 9) that Providence College Head Coac Ed Cooley named Jeff Battle assistant coach for men's basketball.

PROVIDENCE - It was announced on Tuesday, March 24 that Providence College red-shirt junior forward Tyler Harris will graduate in May and will not return for his final season of eligibility with the men's basketball team.

FRIDAY, NOV. 21

Division II semifinals: Coventry at Shea, 7 p.m.

Division III semifinals: Lincoln at Middletown, 7 p.m.

SATURDAY, NOV. 22

Division IV semifinals: North Smithfield at Burrillville, 10:30 a.m.

McGair: Durham rallies to even 2014 Governors' Cup finals

PAWTUCKET – It’s a good thing that Pawtucket’s Game Three starter, Henry Owens, flew out ahead of time. The PawSox and Bulls went 11 innings and four-hours plus Wednesday night at McCoy Stadium with Durham grabbing Game Two, 3-2.

Durham pushed across the go-ahead run in the top of the 11th as Mike Fontenot singled in Vince Belnome with one down. The deciding base knock came against John Ely, who was removed from the contest in the 11th with an apparent arm injury.
