Welcome to the final day of fall high school sports in Rhode Island, otherwise known as Super Bowl Sunday.

The big game of note in the area takes place at 3 p.m. with defending Division II champion Cumberland squaring off against West Warwick. The Clippers and Wizards each finished with 5-2 records in league play – a mark that was also equaled by three fellow division foes.

As a result of that unprecedented five-way tie for first place, one team was eliminated while West Warwick was awarded the No. 1 seed in Division II-B.

BOSTON – We present some postgame reaction following the Red Sox defeating the Cardinals to clinch the World Series:

Outfielder Shane Victorino on his bases-clearing double in the third inning.
“To get these kind of moments, that is what it’s all about. For me, I’m lucky enough it worked out. I don’t ever go up there with the mindset ‘This is what is going to happen.’ It seems to be happening that way and I’m very fortunate to get that opportunity again tonight with the bases loaded and open up the game a little bit.
