BLACKSTONE- Doris L. (Bernier) Millette, 91, of Blackstone, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at home with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Victor J. Millette.
Born November 21, 1918 in Bellingham, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Celina (Beausoleil) Bernier.
She was the loving mother of Victor Edgar Millette and his wife, Pauline, of Port St. Lucie, FL, Paul J. Millette and his wife, Sandra, of Woonsocket, Roger A. Millette and his wife, Pauline, of Sterling, CT, Gerard R. Millette and his wife, Donna, and Leo J. Millette and his wife, Olga, all of Blackstone, Muriel C. Hogue and her husband, Richard, of Okeechobee, FL, Elizabeth D. Brown, of Blackstone, Celina Rogers and her husband, Reed, of Dallas, TX. She leaves her 33 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson. She was the sister of Roland and Jean Paul Bernier both of Bellingham, Theresa Giguere of Bellingham, Rina Dubois of Woonsocket, and the late Gabriel, Bartholomew, Edmond, Eva, and Ella Bernier, Irene Charland, Rhea Chamberland, Edwina Paquette, Rita Blais, Cecile Carrier, and Annastasia Desmarais.
Resident of Blackstone since 1953 formerly of Cumberland, Woonsocket and Bellingham. She worked at St. Antoine Residence as a receptionist for 18 years until retiring, and also for Bob's One Stop Cleaners and Kreskys of Woonsocket. Communicant of St. Theresa Church and member of the St. Theresa Seniors and the Ladies of St. Ann Society of the parish. She was an avid crochetter, sewer and reader. She was a # 1 Mom and Memere and was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
Funeral will be held on Saturday, October 16, at 9:00AM from CARTIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in St. Theresa Church, 630 Rathbun St., Blackstone, MA. Interment will follow at the Ukranian Cemetery, Center Street, Bellingham. Visiting hours are on Friday, October 15, from 5 to 8PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
