NORTH SMITHFIELD Francis Fran W. Rutka, 67, of Log Rd., died Oct. 16, 2010 at Bayberry Commons, Pascoag. He was the beloved husband of Barbara Jean (Gray) Rutka.
Born Dec. 1, 1942 in Woonsocket, a son of the late Francis and Mary (Misiaszek) Rutka.
Francis worked in the warehouse for the former Tech Industries in Woonsocket for over 35 years before retiring.
He was an avid New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox fan.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a two sons, Kurt P. Rutka of Maryland and John F. Rutka of Providence; a granddaughter, Skylar Rutka; a sister Kathleen Sherman of Lincoln; a niece Sally Watson and several aunts and cousins.
His Funeral will be held on Thursday at 10 am in the Polish National Catholic Church of Our Savior, Smithfield Rd., Woonsocket. Burial in the Parish Cemetery will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to the Egidio DiPardo & Sons Funeral Home, 75 Harris Ave., Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Polish National Church of Our Savior. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 4-7 pm.
