BURRILLVILLE- Jane M. (Moore) Plante, 81, of Pascoag, died Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2010 at home. She was the wife of her loving and devoted husband, Wilfred J. Plante with whom she celebrated their 60th anniversary in June.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Charles and May (Williams) Moore.
Jane graduated from St. Xavier High School and St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing, and went on to serve many years as a nurse with the Burrillville- Glocester District Nurses and Zambarano Hospital. She had been retired for 25 years. Outside of her work as a nurse, Jane enjoyed spending time with her large extended family at her home on the Pascoag Reservoir.
Besides her husband, she is survived by four sons, Jeffrey Plante and his wife Susan of Woonsocket, Kevin Plante and his wife Janice of Harrisville, Timothy Plante and his wife Betsy of Meredith, NH and Christopher Plante of Valrico, FL, two daughters, Cathy-Jane Regan of Chepachet and Deborah O'Connell and her husband Francis of Smithfield, twelve grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers, Charles and John Moore.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010 in St. Joseph's Church, 183 Sayles Ave, Pascoag. Calling hours will be prior to the Mass from 9 to 10:30 am in the Boucher Funeral Home, 272 Sayles Ave, Pascoag with burial following the Mass in St. Patrick Cemetery, Pascoag. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to Visiting Nurse Service of Greater RI, 6 Blackstone Valley Place, Lincoln, RI 02865.
