I finally got brave and decided to venture into the roadwork zone at the intersection of Pulaski Boulevard and Crooks Corner in Bellingham this weekend. I must say, the engineers may have finally gotten things right. I can see light at the end of our tunnel and was very impressed with the work done to date.
I'm sure the people who lost the frontage on their property probably aren't thrilled or the businesses that have lost customers due to this roadwork are not thrilled.
But as a resident who has been trapped at both ends of town at some point during the past year, and having to take detours going just about anywhere, I was really impressed when I could finally visualize what this area will look like, from the work that has been accomplished thus far.
