WOONSOCKET- Olivette Salemi of Woonsocket, 89, died on October 14, 2010 in the North Bay Manor Nursing Facility of Smithfield.
She was born on February 21, 1921 in Wotton, Canada to the late Mr. and Mrs. Hermildas and Delia (Coutu) Nault. She was the loving wife to the late Carmelo Salemi.
Olivette was employed as an Executive Secretary for 20 years for the Tupperware Co. until retiring in 1984. She also served on the Board of Directors of the YWCA for six years, Past President of the Y Wives and Girls Club and was active for the Bernon Heights School PTA.
She leaves behind her two daughters; Judith Hoover and her husband James of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Nancy Salemi of Hawaii, one sister; Muriel Guilbert and her husband Albert of California as well as several nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by three brothers; Thomas, Roland and Alfred Nault, four sisters; Laura Baril, Alpheda Forest, Rolande Tellier and Florette LaPlante.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday October 18, 2010 in the St. Anthony's Church, Greene St., Woonsocket, beginning at 10 am. Burial to follow in St. James Cemetery, Manville, RI. Relatives and friends are invited. There are to be no Calling Hours. Services are under the direction of the T. Lauzon Funeral Home, 185 Spring St., Woonsocket, RI.
