TN's Tibdits: Division II football playoffs taking shape

October 30, 2010

The Division II football playoff field should come into sharper focus after today's games are concluded. Woonsocket meets Mount Hope this afternoon and if the Villa Novans can prevail, they will improve to 5-1 in the regular season with only a home game with winless West Warwick left on their schedule.

Tolman has already clinched the No. 1 seed with a 6-0 record after beating Ponaganset in a good football game on Friday night, 26-10. The Tigers led 6-3 at halftime and had their hands full on defense with a Ponaganset team that showed a good mixture of running and throwing the football.

The quarterfinal round of the playoffs will be held on Nov. 12-13 at the home fields of the higher seeds.

I'm still predicting a Woonsocket-Tolman Super Bowl.
