Cops: Man punched for delivering food late |

WOONSOCKET — A man who ordered Chinese food was so upset when his dinner arrived late he punched the deliveryman, police said.
Marcos Sanchez, 53, of 60 Cooper Ave., was charged with one count of simple assault shortly before 8 Monday night, police said.
He was arrested after John Mirabella told police Sanchez berated him for showing up late and then punched him in the chest. The 55-year-old deliveryman for Dragon Garden told police he tried to explain to Sanchez that the kitchen was shorthanded.
Sanchez denied punching Mirabella, a police report said. The customer claimed he just slammed the door in the deliveryman’s face as he stood outside, apparently waiting for a tip. |
